Empty nets

I feel something sinister is afoot. Firstly the fish in the lake seem to have dissappeared, secondly and perhaps more alarming is that this years batch of animated corpses were aggressive. Luckily i had been keeping watch on the graveyard (the corpses seem to rise within the same 1-2 days each year) and was able to… deal with the situation before they had a chance to harm someone. As such i decided to investigate the lab of Tractus to see if something could have triggered this change in behaviour. Upon venturing down to the lab i found that it was covered by the magical smog which its grave guardians emit, however my magical defences powerful enough to counteract it and so i was able to see one of the guardians blocking my path. I ordered it to step aside and after no response i fire a warning shot at it. It was then that both creatures sought to attack me. I easily subdued them however due to their magical healing ability i decided it would be best to summon my fellow magus so that they could occupy the beasts while i explored the lab.
Whilst making arrangements with Ludo and Willhelm for a return to the graveyard i received a message from my darling Cecile. It appears that Losseloth, who has been acting as midwife, did not come to Ceciles chambers to give her a checkup. This concerned me as it is rather out of character for Losseloth particularly with Ceciles pregnancy being so late, the child is due any day now. Having checked her quarters, sanctum and asked about the covenant it appears that she did not return from her morning swim. Investigating the graveyard could wait, Losseloth might be in danger.
I was lead to the cove Losseloth usually baths in by her shield grog. Her clothing was still folded by the waters edge and her familiar was nowhere to be found. According to the covenents tracker it seems one person entered the water and that two odd human like tracks came out, ran around a bit and reentereed the water. My guess is that some merfolk took Losseloth and left the water to catch Socrates. In the meantime Willhelm cast Inexorable Search, unfortunately he entered Twilight while doing so and matters were intolerably delayed. Upon returning from Twilight Willhelm guided us to the point in the lake above where Losseloth was. I cast a spontanuous Rego Aquam, with and auram requisite to allow my fellow magus and i to breath underwater.
As we decended into the depths of the lake we began to feel the presence of a Faerie regione and were approach by 4 armed figures. We allowed them to escort us to their Lord. It appears that one of their folk has gone missing and that they have held us accountable due to our power in the area. In order to encourage us to return their kin they drove away the fish and kidnapped Losseloth. We agreed to search for the Fae woman. I explained to them that Losseloth was acting as midwife and that my child was due any day now and offered to take her place till the girl was returned but much to my fury they refused me.
We gathered supplies at the covenant and set off for the village nearest where the Fae girl had dissappeared figureing that some local fisherman had caught her in his nets and kept her captive. Upon our arrival we were greeted by what can only be described as a mob. It seems they have held us accountable for the dissappearance of the fish, fools, no doubt egged on by the local preacher, another zealot of the bishop. This talk was not completely in vain however, upon mention of the fae woman we noticed a man slip away from the crowd. Myself and Willhelm slipped of the back of the boat and followed this man to his shack. We released the fae girl and warned the now jibbering wreck not to meddle with the Fae again. When we returned to the island we were greeted by a grog, Losseloth had returned and Cecile labour had begun!

It’s a boy! A fine straping young lad with lungs on him that could rival a banshee and fingernails that glint with iron, it seems he has acquired the magical resistance of the Falcos. Let the feasting begin!
