The Mill of Danberry – Part #1

With the arrival of a creature claiming to be the unnaturally prolonged former apprentice of the covenent (“Alessandro”). Proving to be the source of the Grog disobedience, the Magus have a decision… either burn him down and cast his ashes to the wind, or take him up on an offer to bring them to an untapped source of vis. While Losseloth is happy to accompany the creature to the site, the others aren’t so enamered. However, Murcha agrees to join this impromptu quest, while the others stayed behind to continue with their studies and repremand the grogs.

After a little frackas with the local color, in the form of a group of bandits who claim to be working for Myst Ridge, they arrive at an apparenly abandoned village. Finding the source of the Vis is the Mill above the willage, they set in for the night. Waking up the next morning, they discover that the village is full of life. The villagers, it appears, are completely normal, if somewhat mutually homicidal. By the end of the first day, several of the villagers have been stabbed, poisoned, and other wise dispatched.

The following morning, the village is full once again and those who died the night before are alive… after a fashion.

The discovery of a demonic relic buried above the village, a strong dominion presence being maintained by a single meditating priest and a notable fey realm at the village’s doorstep belies the truth of the situation. The magus and co. remove the demonic relic from the equation, and suddenly the other realms are exposed. That which was once interfering with one another, dampening each other out, became more vital with the removal of one of the opposing forces.

With some regret from some of the party, the old priest is murdered, putting to right most of the problem, leaving only two realms (hermetic and fey) to contest with one another.
