The Halloween Special: Conclusion
We have a black cat. Thats where it starts. Then we have Jimmy. Then we have a new side to Martin. And we have a paranoid Dylan. Oh, and the cat talks. (Lets not forget the mob of wraiths, human dogs, and stolen bodies…)

Session 24 Summary: The Halloween Special Conclusion
Title: The Halloween Special Conclusion
Time: 7pm, Monday 20th November 2000

Summary:
Jacob Henderson Marley finds himself in the remains of the burnt out Order of Hermes Chantry. There is only a broken exit to Earth. The last thing he remembered was attempting a ritual in the late victorian era.
On earth, everything has changed. Adapting as best he could he finds the small school of Junes near New York. A mere shadow of what the Order of Hermes was. They point him to the local libary as a means of introduction to the new millenium.
After a brief reading of the history since (World War 1 and 2 etc.), the Order of Hermes school ask him to check on an agent of theirs, June. With nothing else to do, Jacob heads off to Clunyville armed with meager information about the cabal.

The fire burned all night on the hillside as the cabal hole up in the hotel room. The emergency services are en force in the town.
The girl starts to recover and by morning, the virus has gone and she is just unconsious. Jimmy starts to slip out of time. Nicholas’ paradox spirit sits on top of Jimmy and taunts Nicholas.
Nefer has gone. Kat and June have both gone out to get some sort of breakfast. Dylan announces he’s off to get breakfest at the cafe across the street.
While Wosret (Martin) discovers what he did, Jacob slips past the police. He watchs the fire on the hill realising that it has a magical origin. He hopes June is not responsible. A tall man in a black suit and sunglasses, greets him and comments that the fire is astounding. With that, the tall man heads into the nearby cafe.
Mestefoles says theres a new guy here. Martin looks out and sees Jacob looking up at the hill.
Martin goes out to meet him and instantly Jacob senses the power of Martin. Aware the cabal has some sort of Immortal of Egyptian descent, assumes he has found the cabal.
A smell of gas assults everyone’s noses as it whafs from the nearby cafe where Dylan is eating.
Martin races into the cafe to warn everyone but when he gets inside, there is no smell of gas and he can’t make a sound. He notices a tall MiB coming out of the toliet. Martin grabs a piece of paper, writes a warning to Dylan. But as he approachs Dylan, the paper lights up in his hand. Dylan is quick and rushes out of the cafe. Then the explosion hits and Martin follows Dylan into some sort of store room. Martin finds a way into the sewers but he is quickly followed by the MiB. Martin rushes out, tries to block the exit. Finds Jacob lying on the ground and brings him up to the hotel room.
There Jacob finds Nicholas dragging the woman across the floor, Jimmy fadding in and out of reality and big hole.
After some introductions they decide to get out of the town. Jacob goes off looking for June, while Nicholas and Martin leave the woman to a rushing paramedics.
Jacob finds June and Kat but apon discovery, a large black skeletal demon-bird appears and dissappears with June and Kat. Mestopholis appears and starts meowing for the missing cabal members.
Eventually Nicholas and Martin arrive and Nicholas prepares to open a portal into the Umbra but it suddenly snaps shut and all three find themselves in the Umbra.

The cat didn’t come into the umbra. Fog from the spirit fires clouds the town and a row of gnomes, no bigger then Jacob’s ankle walk by, carrying and pulling carts. The cabal manage to discover that there is a dark castle on a umbral hill nearby.
After following them for a bit, the cabal take a boat and go upstream towards the Castle. They come to a village with a market place. The cabal wander through and discover that the market is for body parts.
The MiB is there, wearing a cowl. He alerts the villagers and the cabal flee the village towards the mountain. When they turn the corner, the villagers stop but there is still someone following them. At a chasm, the MiB appears and teleports to behind Nicholas threatening them to get him out of here. He holds Nicholas over the chasm. Nicholas agrees to get them out of here and starts to preform a ritual. But he tries to trick the MiB and moves the cabal over the chasm but the MiB only half way across, letting the MiB fall. But the MiB suddenly floats and starts to rise. Martin and Jacob rush to the Castle, but Nicholas remains to try and shoot down the MiB and send him to hell. All fails and the MiB vanishs. Nicholas follows the others.
Outside the huge monsterous castle, the doors are shut. Nichola’s paradox spirit opens them and dissappears. At the same time the villagers appear, intent on killing the cabal. The cabal rush into the castle when the doors shut.
Inside, they wander tunnels until coming to a large pit, Nephandus are attempting some ritual. Martin jumps down to kill them but they dissappear leaving only their cloaks. But something is coming out of the pit. The cabal flee but find themselves suddenly split up. As each transcend the levels they find themselves in the Skinlands and they appear in a Throne room.
There the manical wraith (from the previous game) is talking with the demon-bird but apon their arrival, the bird flees and the manical wraith calls for his guards. Nicholas sets up a ward as the half-formed wraiths appear. But the MiB appears, throwing the wraiths into the air and charges after the manical wraith. The cabal follow to find the wraith standing on the edge of the courtyard. The MiB is thrown back against the tower. Martin expells the wraith and Nicholas shoots the MiB in the head. The wraith is blown back but flies and floats away. The MiB’s head reforms and jumps down. Martin pumps him with bullets and it slows the MiB down. Jacob creats lead around the MiBs legs and they flee the courtyard only to rush into the slow moving wraith gaurds.
They race up the tower to small area where they find June’s mud. Jacob makes a door out of it and when he’s completed, someone knocks on it. They open to find a Knight in armor wearing a trench coat. They jump in and he tells them to get out. They find themselves back on earth a few days later.

Martin tries to check up on the woman, Mary Jefferson, in the temporary emergency setup in the local community center but ends up attracting the attention of the police. Nicholas finds that he has suffered a paradox flaw, his body threatens to disintegrate into a pile of spiders but he manages to hold himself together.
