DT1: Something Fishy

After the party at Hannacks there was a lot of fallout. Some of his men sacrificed themselves as the anaethema that were saught and the wyld hunt declared Kirighast purged. With dramatic events out of the way and some manses to activate it was decided a bit of downtime was in order. Before departing for the open seas the circle decided to clear up some loose ends and catch up on long overdue projects.

Laef began training in his new senechal as his former had moved to take control of hannicks businesses. He also hosted a party for the well to do in which he announced his plans for a work program, poor house and orphanage to aid the poor and that he required their assistance in the form of donations or jobs for the newly trained workers to fill. Claiming that together we can make things better for all and make Kirighast the envy of creation.

Lucius used the time to catch up on some overdue work, summoning an elemental to assist him in creating weapons any of his circle mates who desired one. The bargain was to burn the sails of 50 ships and in exchange he would empower the weapons and grant favourabe winds 3 named ships (Vestnors merchant ships). Lucius used the finest steel available (bought at a bargain price by Laef :D ) and due to his exceedingly good craftsmanship the weapons are all of excellent quality. He also set about creating more of a solid theurgists group. Up until now it had been a loose association, Lucius sought to increase cooperation and communication in the group.

Riptal fought in some martial arts tournaments, trying to make a name for himself in anticipation of opening his own dojo.
Rex did something… drinking maybe…?
Nigma also did something… stealing maybe…?

With all the loose ends tied up the circle left aboard The Unfathomable Sea bound for the first of the manses (located in the south of creation). Upon drawing close to the location of the manse the centre stone of the control panel began to pulse. This gave a good sounding on the location of the manse as it pulse quicker the nearer we drew. As we had approached at night we had decided it would be best to wait until morning just in case there was anything in the water (as the manse appeared to be underwater). During Lucius’ watch the ship was boarded by several shark like fair folk. The ensuing battle was short with the circle easily mopping up the invaders. The interrogation was somewhat difficult as although the creatures could understand old realm their mouths where not designed for speech. As it turns out there were a great many of them located at the manse. We informed the creature that this had been an unfortunate misunderstanding and we would let him go but he must inform his superiors that we wished to negotiate. He returned to his underwater realm and shortly later a great many shark men began circling the ship and their leader, a grotesque parody of man and octopus, boarded. Negotiations were brief, we informed them that we were solars and had need of the manse, they informed us that they had been placed there by House Boral to guard the manse. Through this link i managed to convince the fair folk leader that since they were loyal to Boral and in turn Boral were loyal to us that they should also be loyal to us. The leader seemed to accept his logic rather grudgingly and agreed to allow us to access the manse. After some negotiation over compensation for the dead boarders we finally agreed to grant a pint of blood from each of us who had slain a warrior on the condition it was not to be used for any form of sorcery, the leader was bound to this oath by Laef. The manse was activated and the Unfathomable Sea set off for the next manse.
