In case you hadn't noticed, I haven't posted here in quite a while. I have moved my blog to blog.cult.ie

Thanks!

I was fiddling around in Paintshop recreating a vector of the adverts.ie logo and ended up with a wallpaper as a side project.

I'm getting myself geared up for a design project for Ireland's top LAN gaming tournament organisers by revamping eirtaku.

The plan is to give it a "web 2.0" overhaul visually, as well as functionally.

Still very much in design phase, trying to get the look as good as I can make it before turning it into an actual site.

I would *like* to write an entirely new backend, we'll see how it goes.

Whoops!

I keep forgetting that I planned to maintain this, still have a "version 2" in mind, but professional contracts (that have yet to pan out properly) delay me, along with some voracious reading and watching of anime.

Phone
Got my phone nicked (or lost) the other day, really irritating. I've lost a few months worth of mobile contacts, fortunately none that I can't get back. I still had an old SIM containing most of my contacts which I transferred to one of my old phones today. Same number etc, love vodafone smile

iPod
I got an iPod nano yesterday and have become enamoured with the iTunes music management system as a result. It's a really nice all-around package, and I've already sought out a few "podcasts" that I had neglected until now.

Ah, I intended to do a write up of my recent visit to Monza to see the World Cyber Games in action; so I must do that.

My intention to turn this into a reasonably readable blog have failed miserably thusfar, hopefully working on a new system will give me renewed perserverence wink

Adverts.ie has finally gone fully live, the For Sale section of boards.ie is being phased out, and sailing appears to be smooth thusfar.

All credit to John, he really has done a bang up job of sorting out the multitude of issues people had with adverts.ie, and it's a much more easy-to-use and pleasing experience than it was first off.

Adverts.ie began as a drab gray and... more gray plugin in the early stages of it's development, and it has really metamorphosed into quite a spectacular site.

As you may remember from an earlier article, I lost faith in the idea and really hammered it. I was certainly wrong on this one, and I now believe that this is a new stage in the development of boards.ie which will allow it to expand and reach an even greater audience.
