What do we do?

The Chemical Research Society was formed in March 2001 by a group of chemistry postgrads, however it is not an exclusive to postgrads, or even chemists. Everybody who has an interest in chemistry, for what ever reason, is invited to join.

We intend to hold several events during the college year. From table quizzes to brewery tours, to guest speakers. For events with limited numbers - such as a brewery tour, priority will be given to society members. It is hoped to invite a series of guest speakers over the course of the year, gearing up to a "big name" speaker towards the end of each semester. There will also be a certain amount of industrially relevent talks and recruitment drives.

A series of annual events will be finalised for the beginning of the Autumn Semester 2001. We hope to have a home brew day, an outdoor soccer league - again priority will be give to members or teams that have members on limit the number of teams.
