There it sat. The book. By far the heaviest, largest book you'd ever find. Assuming you even could find it. It is, to say the least, also phenominally rare. Preserved to almost mint condition, it's pages reflect light off the gilded edges.
The dark, leather cover flips open, to reveal a beautifully illustrated image of a glowing figure in mid-leap. Beneath this, it read, "The Legunatas Articles Unabridged."
Beyond this one finds a huge, fantastic tale, spanning hundreds of pages. It begins, "Regarded as a god forged in the very fires of hell, and bathed in the light of heaven..."
The story details the history of Legunatas, how it was found, examined, and quickly became resistant to be piloted by anyone except its discoverer. And how that discoverer rose and fell from grace.
Flipping through the hundreds of pages after the telling of the tale, one finds the information; Legunatas' last known position, it's battle record, even schematics detailing what little was known of it's design.
This book is a document of the defeat and possible hibernation of a god. A god among gears.
