I'm trying to find out who's active and who's willing to do
Battles, Wars, tactics, and so forth, later on leading toward
more political-oriented plots such as cease-fire negitiations
and peace talks.

If you sit here and think, "There's a war?" well... yes, there is.
It's just been poorly presented at this moment. I'd like to
make it more visible and more immediate to everyone on the
surface between Aveh and Kislev.

There's rather big problem.

We can't act out or present anything even remotely warlike with only 2 or 4 active Kislevi. Yasha is our only real military character and Rico is only helping us train.

I can't really see how acting out a war could work in these conditions. Our only actual military force is the D-Ygg, and they're not. They're spies, and have really bad gears and defenses.

The only way an actual war could run, without just being assumed, is through IC posts, which is just fanfic writing...

I try to be as active in the war as I can be, and am willing to help on the future of the war anyway I can. My area is battle, and tactics, as Victor is an aging dragon of war, so peace talk with him might turn into him forcing people to do things, through fear and threat of force. But I have to agree with Liete, so far the only other Kislev, military or other wise, that I have meet is Harmony. And I think it would be best to avoid running the war on the IC post, as there is no way to come to mutal standings on the boards.
I have been thinking of trying to jump start the war, so if there are any Kislev soldiers, or just battlers loyal to Kislev, please connect me on the MUCK or at Victor_Darkskies@hotmail.com

Well, Jalon's a wanderer, however, he's a -very- masterful matrial artist wanderer, and he's currently within Kislev. Perhaps if someone were to recruit him somehow to the Kislevian army, he'd be a soldier? Of course, he'd be there temporarily, most likely.

I've posted the message to bring awareness to the "War". Most people don't even think there's a story going on. If a problem is the lack of Kislev players, then that's a problem that can be addressed.

The Dark Yggdrasil Spy Ship

Perhaps anyone who role-plays anyone outside of Aveh or Solaris, or as a plug for those new players, we can try to get more Kislev and Shevat players into it. Is there supposed to be an alliance between Kislev and Shevat? If there is, then we can exercise that alliance (for RP's sake) and have Solaris/Aveh versus Kislev/Shevat. Even if Kislev/Shevat isn't the most IC thing in the world, if it can be done I think it should be to make the plot role-playable.

Hm. Well, I always though of the Kislev/Aveh thing as being reduced to a simple staring match, with the occasional strike, like the Dark Ygg thing, or whatnot. The current Ethos plot might introduce some direct conflict, so perhaps we could see if that peters out into anything war-starting. I can see some animosity building up over that, or the Dark Yggers, if they deided to cause any more trouble. It makes more sense OOC to have some event spark off open hostilities.

Also about opening things up. So is Liete. Nothing has been done because of lack of soldiers and because some players doesn't want to go lead an assault with nothing but spoofed Gears, which I fully understand.

A background plot that makes the wars have a point

Those are the two things we need, the top one being the most important. I can't do anything with the Dark Yggdrasil: they are still doing their plot, and shouldn't be interfered with until they're finished. The Ethos might be more workable, but it's that I don't know anything about them.

I had an idea, and I won't be able to do do it yet, but maybe later: build a land-path from Aveh to Kislev, along with a mountain pass on the border. That'll simulate the area where Fei and Elly meet Vanderkaum in the mountains and where Elly takes Drive. Basically, that's the "border". Unfortunately I've not played that area in years and I'd have to guess it, or just make another pretend mountain pass altogether.

THe reason for this is to make a simulated fortification where Aveh and Kislev players can "fight". Theoretically, if either side breaks through that pass, it would be almost a home-free march to the other side's city. Basically, it would be more of an RP focus area for any wars, and could help provide direction by people actually "gaining ground" instead of people fighting in gears in the sky pointlessly.

Not that it's not already near-pointless.

Anyway, until there's more players I don't think I'll bring this up again: it's simply unworkable as it stands.

I am not totally filled in on the details of the War between Kislav and Aveh. However, if you all are truly serious on making this plot a reality, you do not need a mass amount of players to do it. Might I suggest a little command called @emit to put in NPC/Gumbies to fill the roles you need. It has helpped me out of quite a few jams and created some very memorable rp for me during my time as Fei-III. If this is going to be a TP that will last for awhile, I would also suggest finding a few people that would be willing to be @emiters/DM for important scenes.

Thats my two cents on the matter... If an @emiter is needed, my services are open for a little while. Send me an email or other methods if the staff is interested, nemesis_re69@usa.net. ^_^
