Well, I'm sure everyone already knows what happened. If not, flip on the radio or TV for a few seconds, it's being covered round the clock on practically every news channel.
I don't feel like I can really talk about it. I woke up this morning feeling not sick, but lifeless and depressed. So I didn't get out of bed. It wasn't till about an hour later I was told of the attacks. I'm depressed as hell.
My condolences to those killed and injured, both physically and emotionally.

Yes, the times are tragic and scary, to know that we were -literally- attacked by an unknown assailant.
I hope that none here or their relatives were involved. If so, you have my sincere condolences. My heart goes out to those that lost their lives needlessly.

Yesterday, A Hare Krishna stopped me on the streets of Prague, and asked me to imagine the beauty of a world without tears. He pointed to a small group of people standing in front of a television in a nearby bar.
I can only hope that anyone affected by this is conforted by the massive outpouring of goodwill, and that the reaction by America's armed forces is fuelled by a desire to preempt any further attacks, and not by the anger I see poured out by every website, every newspaper I've looked at today.
I can't pretend to begin to offer worthwhile support to anyone affected by this who is reading. Words like "Condolences" and "Sympathy" pale so badly in comparison to what has happened, that I find myself unable even to utter them. We can only hope that anyone affected by this can get through it in their own way, and that things can return to some semblance of normality soon.
