Proof once again that I'm out to kill me. @_@

Anyway, here's the deal: I've been feeling very ambitious of late, and I've been wanting to use my voice talents. However, most Amateur Radio Plays die after casting, and getting into a good fandub these days is extremely difficult. Professional voice acting? Pssh. I live in St. Louis.

Anyway, while I was at work today I decided that it might be a neat idea to try and auralize some of the adventures that we have around here. It might even create a RP rennaisance! (Hey, you never know!)

SO. First, we have to decide what we're going to do. I implore all of you to select your favorite XGM adventure/log and refer it to me at TheProf42@cs.com. After I recieve some submissions, I'll put it to popular vote as to which one we do.

SECONDLY, I'll need a cast. Anyone who thinks they can voice their own charecters is welcome to do so-- anyone else, I'll need to audition out. Anyone who doesn't get an actor will be done by me or my friends. Consider THAT if you don't want to audition! :P

I'll try to cobble together a web-page for this sometime soon. But if popular support isn't there, it may just degenerate into me doing radio spots for the game or trying whole scenes by myself. And NO-ONE wants that... do they?

It's a darling idea. It's like how I wanted to make an RPGMaker RPG online using voice actors and whatnot, but chose against it due to the amount of work involved.

I think it'd be precious, but also difficult. What format would you take sound files in? Would you link them together into one 'play'/scene/whatnot or would you have line by line clips for easier DL for those who only have dial-up connections?

There are a lot of issues to puzzle over before you start collecting logs and VAs, but I suppose it couldn't hurt to at least find a few small few ones to play with. I personally can't think of much off the top of my head, but still.

Ha, I doubt I could do a very good job of any of my characters. I'd be an awful Domi and doubt I'd do very well at Margie... I'm not sure I could about Dirah. And in any case, I'd have to chose one and one alone.

Hell, I'm not an actress. While the idea seems fascinating to me, I'd do a laughable job at anything.
