The young Etone fingered the paper of the article lightly, torn unevenly out of the rest of the paper. After all, it was the only one he really cared to read.
Arson? Horror? On the contrary. It was the first true triumph against Ethos. A small one, admittedly. But success is not something to belittle.
...Well, kind of. The fact that they had shot a -Minister- was kind of unexpected.. And was undeniably a -very- bad thing. All they had meant to do was send a message, a warning stating of the weakness, the -corruption- that had claimed the Ethos. It was planned to hurt as few as possible...
Well. To bring enlightenment to the straying masses, a little blood must fall.
Marcus just wished, as he rubbed his bandaged arm with a cringe, that a little of it didn't have to be his.

*Fire Horror at Ethos HQ*
This morning saw a scene of awesome destruction at the local Ethos HQ, where it is believed an arson attack destroyed part of the building, leaving three people still unaccounted for. Firefighters are still working on the blaze, which thenkfully, has not spread to nearby buildings. This is attributed to the fact that the HQ was fitted with fireproofing, in case of any such accident. A container of Gear fuel exploded inside the building at one
point, but this was believed to have caused only minor damage.
The suspects were accosted while escaping the scene by some locals, as well as the recently-appointed Minister Gaisce. They made their escape, in doing so causing grievous injury to Minister Gaisce, whose status is still currently unknown. Sources at the scene claimed to have heard gunfire, and seen Minister Gaisce being taken away by medical personnel. A statment on his condition is expected from Fatima Castle shortly.
In other news, speculation is still rife about the event to take place at the castle, allegedly scheduled for this weekend. Several local parents are reported to have been invited, including the well-known Merchantess, Sylvina Dalant. When asked to comment, she simply replied, "It is a private function exclusive to invitees only. To give out any more details would be horribly crass of me.". The mystery remains.
