Tragedy Strikes At the Music Competition!

BLE- The 'Battle of the Bands!' competition was going smoothly until the last performer, Kenji Hotokan, was nearly assassinated by a mysterious young man in the stands. The Emcee, Big Joe, managed to chase both the performer and his would-be killer away...but the damage was already irreversable. Kenji Hotokan's performance was disqualified for the disruption it apparently caused. Mr. Hotokan was unavailiable for comment and apparently has not been seen since the incident occured- and there is still no identification of the assassin. Nonetheless, the awards ceremony is going to be held within the next couple of days without a hitch.

The Winner Of The Competition

BLE- A crowd was gathered in Bledavik town square only days after a mysterious man put an abrupt end to the 'Battle of the Bands!' competition by trying to assassinate a performer. This event was to be much more lively than that scare, as they are gathered to announce the winner of the event. After a short ceremony, the spectators were treated to speeches by several of the organizers of the 'Battle of the Bands!' competition, including the surprise Emcee: Big Joe.

"While not exactly HAPPY at losing the contest," Big Joe commented, "as I believe that my song 'In the Ghetto' was a much better one then she chose...I shall say this: Elhaym Van Houten is an extremely talented and attractive young woman, and I am glad that she was the one who beat me out. Congradulations, Elly, and may you continue to do as well elsewhere as you did at the Battle of the bands."
"I feel that it was a priviledge," he continued, "to listen to all the fine singers and then MC for the contest. They were all wonderful." Then, after a brief pause, he commented, "...Ok, dangit, where's my booze? You promised!"

After the speech, they unveiled Miss Van Houten's prize: A statue of her image placed in the middle of town square. Miss Van Houten was unavailiable for comment, but we are currently seeking her out for an interview as you read this.
