Xenogears MUCK: TP: A call to action..

You know, this whole TP Council thing is a real good idea, but it's not going to do anything to help if we all just sit around like bumps on a log. Not that this is meant to be any kind of critcism, the council's been pretty productive in dealing with the..er...one plot idea we've had since it's conception, at least. ^^ Anyways, I don't know if this was originally in the plan for the TP Council, but we have to do more than just make suggestions on plots people throw at us, we should all try to brainstorm our own types of TPs that we can incorporate in the world, a general thread for that sort of thing would be good. But thats beside the point, right now we already have a pretty big TP going underway that, for one reason or another, hasn't quite caught on yet. In case it's not obvious, i'm talking about the Virus TP. It officially started as of a few weeks ago, but not enough Solarians have been signing on to actually RP the concept (Which is pretty damn strange, considering that any RP this game had used to happen on Solaris). So, to all of you out there with Solarian chars or alts, SIGN ON! RP the atmosphere set into Solarian society by the virus! Angst! Give me angst! (I can't believe I actually said that..). Ah, anyways, don't think you're off the hook just because you don't live in Solaris either, since according to Ramsus the virus has already spread to a significant part of the world by now (Almost all of Aveh, I think). Granted, it's not like people have a whole idea of what to RP other than suspicion and rumors, so I think it would be a good idea if Ramsus could go ahead and post the general direction he'd like to take the TP in as best he can without giving away anything too big. Sound good, everyone? Opposition will be met with severe thrashings by a board with a nail in it. ^_^

By now, infection in Etrenank has reached PANDEMIC proportions. If you live IN Solaris, you've probably got the virus. As for the rest of the world, I'd say parts of Bledavik, Aquavy, and Dazil have the thing too, though not nearly as bad. The people who are the safest from teh Virus would be those living in Nisan, Shevat, or Kislev.

W00t! -- *ahem* I mean, how unfortunate for the rest of the world... we'll be praying for you all. ^_^;

Suddenly, my job doesn't seem so bad. :D :D :D

So it's Pandemic now? Do you know how much pressure this gives the people who live in Solaris if they DON'T want the virus? Yet, since it's pandemic, someone HAS to have it since Pandemic means a majority of the population. Since Kenji lives in Solaris, it gives me a feeling of pressure; that you're forcing this on me, and I don't like that feeling.

Can't you slow it down a bit? Give people a chance to RP it and get interested before you put it on a one-way train full speed ahead?

Remember, when I first started this, I pointed out that you don't HAVE to RP your character 'shooting blanks' (as someone lovingly put it ^_^; ). When I say 'pandemic', I refer more to NPCs. Though for RP sakes it'll help a LOT if some OCs and maybe even an MC or two acted out having the Virus...

By the way, I DID give people a chance to RP it. OVER A MONTH AGO. Check the IC board part 2 and read the 'ENN Special Report'.

Well, the only thing to keep in mind is that a virus which shows hardly any symptoms is going to give someone a half scene of RP at best.

Also, you have to remember that your IC posting does not constitute a plot, or RP.

People also have to be beaten in the head or given something specific in mind to RP sometimes for them to go down the path of a TP. It's like..Encouragement. You give them an idea that they like and will want to RP and they'll do it, otherwise they'll just ignore it and leave it in someone else's hands.

I know I'm not making too much sense right now, but I suppose what I'm trying to say is that TP Running can't be passive or assumed. ^^
