Xenogears MUCK: TP: All about the Nisan-Shevvite TP

All righty 'den. ^^ It seems like quite a few people are really dazed over what's going on in the Nisan-Shevvite TP, as well as what's already happened in it. I dislike confusion, I dislike people being concerned or lost. So! Here is a complete record of what happened so far and what is planned. If I get anything wrong, and you're a Shevvite who helped mastermind this, could you tell me so?

So. The start of the plot. As we know from the game, Shevat and Solaris have a very pronounced but generally violent distaste for each other. They have hated each other for centuries. Simple enough.

So comes the nonagression pact between the Yggdrasil and Solaris. The Ygg seems fine with not blowing their former enemies out of the sky; they also seem fine with their kingdom being in Solarian hands. Goodness knows what they actually felt about it: This is just how it appeared, since they did not a thing to change it and seemed content to let things lie as they were.

This is -threatening- to Shevat. Their former enemies have lost an enemy, if not gained a partial ally. This is upsetting. They break off connections with the Yggdrasil with that--Goodness knows that they don't hate the Ygg. But there is little trust for them right now, since they did what Shevat considered a grave mistake.

So Shevat considers themselves on their own and plans.

From this point on, feel free to have the the Nisan-Shevvite Log Archive open so you can follow along.

The core group of Shevvites behind this plan are Yui, Kaori and Ryoji, later joined by Granle. Their plan is to capture the Fort Japser. Since Shevat still possesses the Tower of Babel, having the Fort's gun would give it an edge, since they felt very.. Threatened, and that was a way to gain ground. It also was not something that they wanted Solaris to have.

But how to do this? Solaris would be deeply suspicious if activity started popping up directly in Jasper, right? I might be wrong in this, but I feel that the part of their plan that took place in Nisan was a way of distracting Solarian attention away from the Fort long enough for Ryoji to maintain himself as new Gebler soldier there, and not really be suspected, since a lot of people where showing up in Jasper to baffle at what was going on in Nisan.

But also, what happened in Nisan was a way for Shevat to justify being there.

What do I mean? Well, here's what happened: Yui and Kaori show up in Nisan, and send a summons through the Church to Marguerite, upon the Yggdrasil Sandcruiser. Their request is simple: They are ambassadors from a foreign land, wishing to speak of issues of peace with Margie.

Reluctantly, Margie went. There, they basically distracted her with talks of peace, while luring the Yggdrasil away. They made no secret of who they were and why they were upset: That which Margie was told was basically the truth. They explained that they were uncomfortable with everyone's support of Solaris, and that all they really wanted was a treaty proclaiming that Nisan would be open and neutral to all. After all.. Historically, Nisan was only allied with Aveh, and if the Yggdrasil was content to not have Fatimas rule, what loyalty did Nisan have at all with them?

What is the purpose of this? All in all, it's important to remember that Shevat is not being evil incarnate through this plot. Shevvites are followers of the Nisan faith as far as I know, and were being honest with Margie as far as they could. At the same time, while they wanted welcome in Nisan and a guarantee that they would not be prosucuted within it due to political affiliation... This is the sort of thing easily exploited.

So, basically, they made Nisan a sanctuary where they could hide in, under the agreement that it not be a source of their military power or whatnot.

This is unphenomenal. It looks innocent from the outside. Shevat wants to be free to visit Nisan, they aren't allowed to bring military force there and they're not allowed to bring outside conflicts to Nisan. But now, basically no one can challenge them being there at all, as long as they follow the same proceedures.

So, it was a distraction that also gave Shevat a reason to be there.

During this, what's going on? Well... Solaris is suspicious as hell as to what's going on, but knows nothing concrete, and certainly do not know that Shevat is behind it (although suspicions are always permitted), but they're certainly distracted from the Fort.

During this time, Ryoji infiltrated the Jasper, if anyone's curious.

Once they had their treaty, they gave Margie over to the Dark Yggdrasil, creating additional confusion for Solaris to focus on and shifting any suspicions over to Kislev. The story was created that Margie was about to meet with the strange people from another land when she was kidnapped by the Dark Yggdrasil. They were attempting to make it look like the Ygg had broken the pact by attacking Jasper: This is what they were doing when the Ygg confronted them.

And why give Margie back to the Ygg? Well... It calms them down. :P So. Margie is given back to the Ygg. They believe that she was stolen from the talks when discussing peace and she was kidnapped, end of story. They have no reason to suspect anything else is going on.

Margie is kept from breaking this story by being told that Shevat has Gabriel, and he will die if she talks. This is actually a blatant lie right now, but it still works.

A Kislevi spy was sent with Margie to the Ygg, disguised as a Nun. She's there to make sure that Margie doesn't say anything, and collect info from the Ygg while she's at it. She reports occationally to Dirah.

Solaris is hopefully baffled and has its focus on whatever the hell Kislev is doing in the area with the D-Ygg. I don't exactly know the Solarian reaction to this, but I don't see why they should suspect Shevat beyond a loose wonder.

And so, what comes next? Well, that's still up for debate.

Here's what might happen, in choppy form:

Shevat has Ryoji sabotoge Jasper from within, and zooms in to take it over by surprise.

Hopefully, the Ygg is far away, thinking everything is fine and dandy and the trouble over.

Margie will hopefully still be shut up, but I have plans for her to do fun other things. :P

Somewhere in this, it'd be fun for the spy that was sent with Margie to report to Dirah and accidentally lead someone to her and get Di kidnapped.

The Ygg is going to figure out what's going on, but goodness knows how that'll happen: Through Gabriel or Margie or figuring it out works. Goodness knows that Margie's mopiness and refusal to leave Nisan might be a hint enough that something is wrong. But they could also not listen to her. :P

Like I said, that's all sketchy. They're ideas of where to go, and everyone is welcome to plan and decide what they want for what is to go next. But BASICALLY, it's down to this:

--Shevat planning/trying to take over Jasper.
--The Ygg doing whatever the hell it damn well pleases.
--Any players with individual planned plots for this doing what they will.

So, it's basically down to individual player and group planning now. Figure out what to do yourselves.

Does that help clear things up... At all? I hope?
