Xenogears MUCK: TP: The Department of Plot Integrity
By Gabriel on Sunday, June 30, 2002 - 02:40 am:

Okay. This is just my being a weirdo and examining things from the outside, but I figured that a few things should be brought to the game's attention.

Before anybody throws the whole "we're not the PS game" thing at me, let me say this: I realize that. I LIKE that. W00t for that. But at the same time, being a Xenogears game, there are some things that more or less must remain intact in order for it to be truly Xenogears. As such, I'd like to make a public inquiry about these things-- not just to Dominia et al. Domi has her hands full, and I'm sure knows a great deal about it (and I certainly do want your feedback, o great and powerful wizard. ^^;), but I'd also like everyone else's opinions on how we should persue these goals-- if at all-- or what we should include or exclude.

1.) Krelian
What is the status of Krelian's plan to reawaken Deus? Is that still his ambition? How does he plan on doing it with the world as it stands? Is he planning any major world-shaking events to achieve his ends? That also ties into...

2.) The Gazel Ministry
Even though we have no Gazel for the moment, how are THEY planning to resurrect Deus? How many Anima Relics does Solaris have now? Are they actively planning on gathering more?

3.) Miang
We also have no Miang, but how is her quest to resurrect Deus coming along? Is she still "with" Ramsus?

4.) The Ethos
Are the Ethos still trying to excavate Zeboim? If so, how has that come along? If not, what are they doing now to seperate from Solaris and become their own Big Bad Organization?

These are simply the burning questions in my mind that stand out. More will be added-- and you are all free to add your own, naturally. I just wanted to clear some things up not only for MY benefit (no-one ever tells poor Gabriel ANYTHING! >__<), but hopefully to allow the game to move along at a better clip. ^_^

I remember 3 of 4 of these questions being answered for you last time you asked them, Gabriel :P (We do tell you things!). Dominia's answers for those questions were essentially the right answers. I'll reiterate for you, though ^^:

1. Krelian's plan is still intact and all is well and fun, he's just not signed on enough to advance it in a long time. Nor has he signed on enough to plan many world-shaking events...but the RPer has been very busy, so it's understandable.

2. Repeat #1 and replace Krelian with Miang and remove that very last sentence.

3. Repeat #1 and replace Krelian with the Gazel Ministry.

4. I am completely ignorant on the Ethos deal, I know they're doing something but i'm unsure if their plans remain the same or what.

If we could get an active Krelian, Miang, Gazel or Stone then these things might be remedied.

No one might tell poor Gabriel anything (although, uhm, yes, Barty does have a point--I did answer almost all of those questions before. x_X), but if that's so, then it's just because you don't ask. :P Or maybe you just forgot?

Anyway, Ethos consists of maybe 3 people right now. It's rather sad when the Rogue Ethos outnumbers the real ones. x_X But, well, right. As Bart covered the others (pretty much, everyone's in game motivations are the same, they're just not RPed), I can handle Ethos.

Ethos is still the puppet under Solaris's rule. They were excavating Zeboim just for Emeralda, weren't they? Well, Emmy's already out and about, having been used by Krel already. So they're doing whatever Solaris still needs them to do--Being a religion to the Lambs and watching over them.

The plot to separate from Solaris was not an Ethos-wide decision--It was the decision of a part of the Ethos that was taken out during the Ethos massacre. Our game started past that massacre, so most of the open discontents are considered removed. Ethos is thus just as it was in the game--Contently being the puppets of Ethos. The only difference is that, without a Stone RPer, Erine is currently still running Ethos in his stead.

To be honest, we are still very much close to the game, when you discount the SolAveh pact. Motivations are the same, and so is the world. It might not be so obvious, but it's not like we're completly off on an Original Tangent. We're a look at Xeno from another view, I guess.

But we're not a completely different story.

I guess that's important to remember sometimes.
