2nd Official Aveh Music Festival

That's right! The event you've all been craving, like the salivating dogs you ar- I mean, um, the fun loving ladies and gentlemen you are.

Here's the outline thus far. A grand festival, orchestrated by Casske and Joseph, is going to be taking place in the Aveh Arena, in an attempt for the GA-GS to raise funds. While positive dates and times regarding this TP are yet unknown and pending (based in large part on any concensus reached on this board, as well as private consultation), the activities and methods in which they will be run are fairly straightforward. Unlike the last festival, anybody may participate. So, here we go.

Music Competition

This is the primary staple of the competition, and was the standalone event of the last festival. Here's the idea - you write a song. You perform this song on stage. People love you. Sounds simple, right? ^^ Due to posing confusion last time, here are the specific guidelines.

PERFORMERS: You have three options - the first is to write your own song. The second is to use a song existing in real life. The third is to take a song existing in real life, and tweak the lyrics to apply to the Xenogears world. Remember, if you opt for either of the "real" song options, the title and artist who actually created the song should be credited OOCly at the beginning of it. Instrumentation is important, too. You can either get together some other characters to supply instruments, spoof NPCs for it, or, of course, do without it. Keep in mind, this is for fun. We tried giving out awards last year, and it turned ugly, so this is just for fun.

AUDIENCE: The audience was the source of most of the confusion, last time... here's the way it works - the performer is going to essentially RP themselves performing. During this time, until the performer takes a bow and the song is over, the audience must not pose. Keep comments to page. Before the event begins, pose order will be set. The pose order will run once fully in between each song for the audience, the last audience pose being the MC, who will introduce the song.

Dancing

This event is ongoing throughout the duration of the tournament. You get to dance! Huz-frickin'-zah! Here's the idea... you dance! All night long, baby! Well, practically. At any time, you can access any of four dance floors located in the arena's basement levels. The first is a ballroom dancing hall, suited for all you elegant, refined types. The second is a jazz/swing/funk floor, always entertaining. The third is techno/dance club stuff. More generic than the others. The fouth is the more mature floor. If you're the type who enjoys lots of scantily clad, sweaty dancing people, um, try this one. Incidentally, you'll likely find organizer Casske Klassa in this room. ^_-

Dealer's Hall

The finest merchants from around the world have gathered here to peddle their wares! Whether you seek generic Avehian cloth, or rare wines from the shores of Aquavy, you'll find it here! NOTE: Wartime conditions make it impossible for us to stock goods from the Kislev Empire. In other words, this is a good place for your character to go to blow money ICly. If you've ever wanted an excuse to wear a satin toga, here you go. If they ask, just say you got it at the festival! ^^

The Spike Pit

The dankest, most depressing bar in Aveh, with the most potent liquors! Aptly named for it's high death rate due to alcohol poisoning. Enter at your own risk, and drink responsibly. A good place to hold RP within the arena, but away from the events.

Cafe

A more mild alternative to the aforementioned bar. Suited for RP between characters who aren't heavy drinkers. Specializes in global coffee trade, and sponsors the highly efficient, ever popular Mr. Coffee brand coffee machines!
