Biography
Annabeth Gish was born Anne Elizabeth Gish on March 13th 1971. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico but grew up in
Cedar Falls, Iowa. Annabeth began her acting career at a young age, gaining critical acclaim for her role as Rose
Chismore in her first feature film, "Desert Bloom", when she was just thirteen. When she was seventeen, she starred in the
acclaimed feature film, "Mystic Pizza", opposite Julia Roberts. This role as Katherine 'Kat' Arujo won her widespread
recognition and a nomination for best young actress in a motion picture, in the young artist awards. After this she
took a four-year break from her acting career to attain an honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in English at Duke
University.
When she returned to acting Annabeth won recognition and acclaim in a wide range of
roles
in feature films and television. She attained a role as Urilla Sutherland in the 1994 western, "Wyatt Earp", which
starred Kevin Costner. This being her first major film role since graduation. On television she starred as Anne
Hampton in the mini series "Scarlett". These roles lead on to other starring roles in film and television. She
recently starred in "Double Jeopardy" with Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd. Other recent film credits include,
"Beautiful Girls" and "The Last Supper". Annabeth also starred as Julie Nixon in the Oliver Stone film, "Nixon".
After her starring role as Monica Reyes in The X Files, Annabeth has a few projects
underway. She has a starring role in the upcoming VH1 Original Movie, "The Way She Moves" with Kamar de los Reyes, it
is a love story set against the back drop of the world of salsa dancing. "Buying the Cow" sees Annabeth star opposite
Jerry O'Connell and Ryan Reynolds, coming soon from Destination Films.
