Further Education:

M.Sc in Security and Forensic Computing in DCU, completed with honours. Subjects included forensic computing, network security, secure coding (covering both programming and web application security), biometrics, security protocols, law and ethics, advanced operating systems and a few others i can't remember.

B.Sc in Computer Applications and Software Design in Dublin City University. Studied programming in Java, C, C++, Assembly language, Prolog, Haskell and C#. This year i am studying (so far) Cryptography, Multimedia Information Retrieval, Compiler Construction, Concurrent Programming and Software Patterns and Metrics. Oh, and working on my final year project.

Work Experience:

Currently working as a network engineer for Kerna Communications.

As for the past...Here we go.... Worked for Arekibo Communications, a fantastic web design company based in dublin.

I also work part time in Dublinia scaring children and informing the general public about the viking age in dublin. I have recently worked for the BBC as an extra in the "Flight of the Earls" documentary,

and all last year worked in Cyberzone all last year, operating the cafe and doing maintenance work on the machines. I worked for an Post as a part time postman in december 2006 and 2005 (which is a great job for anyone interested)

and have also worked in the O'Scanaill Vetinary Clinic and National Heritage Service on work experience.

Those are all the onteresting ones, really. apart from that worked for the Wise Owl Bookshop several summers in a row, JC's Supermarket in Swords as a night packer, Centra in swords as a cashier and i'm sure i'm forgetting something but that's well enough for now.

What i like doing:

I'm an active member of the Fingal Living History Society, and love living history, fighting and viking and medieval history.
When i get time, i like painting and wargaming, Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 being favourite games.
I like cycling and hiking. Haven't been hiking in ages, cycling i do frequently
I'm also a fan of computer games, have repeatedly tried to code my own, and will get around to it eventually.
