Hello there.. as you may have gathered from reading our freesheet, we are big fans of music ingeneral, apart from one or two bastard offshoots such as gabba and gameshow theme tunes. But where do we pick up our music? What stations are we listening to? Here's a quick guide to where we get our shit.

Road Records is at 16B Fade Streetjust off Georges Street. We like it a lot. The staff (Julie and Dave) are extremely nice and friendly and are always willing to talk shit about music with you for hours on end. The shop mainly specialises in indie and alternative music, and they have a wide selection of stuff you wouldnt find in other, more mainstream shops like HMV or Virgin. Their entire catalogue is up on their web page (which you can go to by clicking on the Road logo) and is searchable by artist, so you can browse through their stock, looking for that obscure Stereolab 10" on Too Pure you've been scouring the earth for. They also have loads of fanzines and 7"s, plus flyers and freesheets andloads of other groovy stuff. Dont hesitate to drop in, cos when you do, you'll be glad you did (trust us).

Power Fm has been broadcasting for many a year now.. it started off as Kiss FM a long time ago, and as far as we know the founding man was Brian Chamberlain. Since its inception its been playing nothing but quality music, from its original roots of Chicago and deep house, the spectrum now stretches from drum'n'bass (with shows from Bassbin regulars suchas Naptha, Rohan, and Ross Carroll), to techno (Alan Carberry), to house (Hugh Scully, Muggy), to garage (Aidan Kelly), to ambient (the Droid, Ultramack) to hip hop (Simon MIlligan) to everything under the sun (Steve Kearns, who is at present looking after the station..). The timetable is available on their webpage (click on the icon). The DJs on the station are involved in popular club nights around the city, such as JDP, Independence, Holy Cow, and Blue among others. Highly reccommended listening.

Xfm is Dublin's indie/alternative radio station broadcasting on 107.1 FM. Our favourite show is without a doubt the Chillage Idiots on Sunday nights from 8pm until 10pm. They play loads of stuff from Warp, Rephlex, Fax, Apollo, R+S, Emissions, and other similar labels. You can watch their show on their web page in RealTime video (or something). Click on the icon. Another DJ on the station is Lolo, expect to hear anything and everything on her show, 'Lolita's Burrito'.
