I was bored one night and wanted to try out a painting technique I had seen in an old white dwarf for painting red and generally muck about with green stuff. I took a spare shade and built up the cloak with said stuff of green. When he was dry I painted teh cloak first, starting with scab red. I then highlighted this with red gore, blood red, blazing orange and eventually elf flesh follwed by a red glaze. I put too much ink in the glaze and partially ruined the effect on the back but the front turned out well.
