Heavy Gear is a thoroughly spiffy role-playing and tactical game with a well-thought-out and consistent gritty sci-fi setting, loads of intrigue, the only good ongoing storyline I've ever seen in an RPG, great art, good rules, nice miniatures, more plot hooks than you could eat in a month... obviously everybody and their uncle should be playing as much of this game as is physically possible. This page exists primarily to catch stuff that accumulates in my brain from time to time, when I empty it out to make space for more worldly matters like wondering how to afford to both eat and scuba dive, or what combination of shirt-and-t-shirt is most offensive to the eye's colour receptors. I've got some RPG-related scenario and encounter ideas, and I'll put in some house rules and stuff that could only possibly be of interest to myself at some stage when I remember what's a house rule and what isn't. If you'd like to comment on any of the stuff presented here (I really like feedback about scenarios and rules - what you like, what you don't like, what you'd change, and how it went if you used it) I'd really appreciate it and will make an effort to reply to every comment - the address is wishkah at redbrick dot dcu dot ie (maybe displaying it in that format will make me slightly less of a spam target).
Update 11th July 2008 Added a miniatures page and pics of my MILICIA SIU minis from Operation: Jungle Drums, and linked in The No Chancers, the homepage of the RPG campaign I'm playing in. Update 6th July 2008: Updated the external links to stuff that now exists and no stuff that no longer exists. Update 4th July 2008: Fixed Heavy Gear skill complexities to bring it into line with how I roll these days. Linked in the directory for Under the Hammer, which I'll get around to making all purty sometime.
