That's a temple within Osaka-jo (jo means castle).

This is the main tower within Osaka-jo. It's got a museum in it and a nice view of the city.

Which looks a little something, like this.

There's the main moat of the castle.

Twilight over Osaka, as seen from the top of the Umeda Sky Building.

And Osaka at night. I liked it up there.

At this temple, there are over 700 stone lanterns like this donated by seagoers and the like.

That's the water font thingie on the left.

This is just a gate into the main area of that temple, but I thought it looked nice.

People buy these placards, write a wish on them and hang them here. I couldn't think of anything to wish for that I'd want to bother the gods about, so I didn't.

This is one of the main shrines in the temple. Note the traditional thatched roof and general pre-Chinese-Buddhist-influence architectural style, apparently.

Heh, it's funny because they're cartoon people.

This is the sort of stuff outdoors needs more of.

They might look funny at first, but I dare you to tell them so.

These aprons are pretty natty, but you should see the ref's clobber.
