Feral camels are apparently a big problem. But they're pretty cool nevertheless.

This is up the top of Kings Canyon. There's crazy sandstone thingies up there.

This is Kings Canyon itself, viewed from above. Mum was down there in those trees somewhere (she claims).

The so-called Garden of Eden, somewhere deep within the Kings Canyon complex.

More of the same, but with a nice shade of blue I reckon.

That's the Olgas, or Kata Tjuta. More interesting than Uluru!

The Valley of the Winds (not the one from the anime, I assume) in the Olgas.

The Olgas as seen from above.

More of the Olgas as seen from above. I think they're cool.

Kata Tjuta at sunset. Mmmm, that's purty.

That's our trusty steed with automatic transmission.

One big hunk of rock - Ayers Rock, or Uluru, depending on who you listen to.

It's not as smooth as it looks in the photo on the front of the Lonely Planet Australia book.

The story goes that the little scar on the right is where this other snake hit this one snake with a spear or digging stick or something, and the bigger scar beside it is its wound, and the fallen rocks on the left are where it dropped its shield. The rock opposite tells the story of the attacker. There was a good reason for the fight, I think this rock beat up the other one's nephew because he was a fool or something.

I always thought it was sort of long and rectangular, but when you walk around it or view it from the air you start to see that it's more splat-shaped.

Our handsome hero in a helicopter. He does get around, doesn't he?
