Route Summary
Stage 1 - Road Race (64 km approx.) - Sat @ 11:00
Race leaves Sports Link complex car park, Furry Park, Cloghran (off old
airport road) at 11:00. Race proceeds neutralised north on ‘old’
airport
road to Collinstown Cross (Dardistown Cemetary). Turn left
Proceed
past airport viewing point. Turn right @ “T” junction (Ballymun
Kickhams
clubhouse) onto {R108}. Turn right @ “T” junction onto {R122}. Turn
right
again @ roundabout. Proceed for approx. 1.5 km to start/finish line
[start
of circuit]. end of neutralised section – real racing
begins.
Garda assistance would be appreciated throughout the neutralised
section
of the race. Proceed east parallel with main runway. Veer sharp
left.
Proceed north past Boot Inn to junction with {R122}. Turn left.
Proceed
west / south to roundabout. Turn left. Proceed through start/finish
line
[end of circuit – lap-1]. Repeat the circuit for laps 2 thru’ 8.
Garda assistance would be appreciated at the finish line & at
preceeding
roundabout particularly on the final lap.

Stage 2 - Individual Time Trial (2 km) - Sat @ 16:00
Time trial starts near airport viewing area 1 km South of Boot Inn on
west
side of airport. First rider departs at 16:00. Competitors please
note - The time-trial start is 8 km from Sports Link. Competitors must
ensure that they allow sufficient time to travel from Sports Link to
the
time-trial start. Directions to the time-trial start will be
posted
in the Sports Link reception area. Competitors will start in race
number order at 1 minute intervals. The course is straight out
(no turn). Since stage 2 is an individual time-trial
on a quiet road with no turns or junctions, it is not envisaged that
Garda
assistance will be needed for this stage.
Finish Times : Last rider finishes 17:16
Stage 3 - Road Race (74 km approx.). - Sun @ 10:00
Race leaves Sports Link complex car park, Furry Park, Cloghran (off old
airport road) at 10:00. Race proceeds neutralised north on ‘old’
airport
road to Collinstown Cross (Dardistown Cemetary). Turn left
Proceed
past airport viewing point. Turn right @ “T” junction (Ballymun
Kickhams
clubhouse) onto {R108}. Turn right @ “T” junction onto {R122}. Straight
thru’ roundabout. end of neutralised section – rolling start to
racing
(if possible). Garda assistance would be appreciated
throughout
the neutralised section of the race. Race proceeds north to
Forrest
Great roundabout. Turn left (1st exit). Proceed north on {R108}.
Turn left onto Rathbeale road {R125}. Garda assistance would be
appreciated
here. Proceed west thru’ Rowlestown. Turn right onto R130 northbound
(direction
Garristown) Garda assistance would be appreciated here. Proceed north
on
{R130} to Garristown. In centre of Garristown turn right and continue
on
R130 eastbound. At “T” junction turn left onto R122 northbound towards
Naul. Turn right @ “T” junction just before Naul village. Turn left in
centre of Naul village. Proceed east on {R122}. Cross over M1 motorway.
Turn left onto third-class-road signed “Gormanstown 5km”. Proceed
north.
Just after Gormanstown College turn left. Cross over M1 motorway.
Proceed
west thru’ Stamullen village. As you are leaving Stamullen village veer
left. 1km later veer right @ junction signed “Greenanstown 2”. At
Clinstown
Cross turn left. Proceed south on {R108} climbing. Continue south on
{R108}
veering left then right in centre of Naul village. Continue south thru’
Ballyboghil. At Rathbeale Road {R125} turn left, then immediately right
Garda assistance would be appreciated here. Continue south on {R108} to
Forrest Great roundabout. Turn right (second exit). Continue west /
south
on {R122} to roundabout at tip of runway. Turn left (1st exit). Finish
1.5 km later. Garda assistance would be appreciated in the vicinity of
the finish line and particularly at the preceeding roundabouts.
