Khiea
With Luka gone, and Khiea lost to a Fort that is full of so many people she knows, and so many more that she is unnerved of.. One would think she would be a great deal more high strung than she is. And yet, Khiea Dalant looks.. Almost calm as she sits at the table here, holding one of the many stuffled animals from her room upon her lap- apparently, a bright white cat with massive green eyes. And yet, her nervousness, for all it has been worth, has kept her to these lower halls, away from the wonders of places that she perhaps not would be welcome at.. After all, is this not still a place of Krelian's command? Ignore the shudder and instead but smile, and be grateful that you have not seen him, or had any issues with those under his command. So Khiea almost looks cheerful as she sits there, swinging her legs and looking as if her thoughts were miles away. For everything is quiet and well, and.. Well, Luka will be found. She has never been more sure of that.
Perhaps one would think it odd, or even frightening that the newest addition to Krelians growing, 'family' would be down in this area of the Jasper. Is he not angry with Khiea? Or not, more so is the fact he never seems to be the same person he once was, frightened, terrified, no he has changed, and how he will greet his younger sibling is probablly a though best left to someone else. As teh doors to the room slide open they reveal his form, and as he walks his jacket whispers backwards till he stops a few feet from Khiea.
Hm, noise? Khiea blinks rather lazily, as if her very focus had fled off wherever her mind went off to. Dropping her ceiling-bound gaze down to the peculiar person who stands before her, she merely blinks. Once. And takes a very long moment to even seem to register that someone else is there. My, where -is- her mind today? Certainly, the stress of this place hasn't worn her -that- thin. Finally, however, she grants a little smile- sweet and small and rather shy, and distracted by and away, "Hm? Hello, Mister." Simple as that? Apparently so. For with recognition far away and her mind already distracted three-ways, Khiea merely turns her gaze.. Back to the ceiling, with that sort of distant focus of daydreamers. Although, in her case, the term could easily take on far too much more meaning.
The person stands there a few more minutes before sighing and shaking his head, "Mister? Is taht allm you can say to me?" To him Khiea knows he is her brother, but to her? Who knows, Krelian was most likely thinking of some way to get this fully into motion, but at the moment the man he called father was gone.
The door left ajar? Assuming the doctor liked his silence, this would be closed, if he were here. Perhaps he is not, and Brin's quest is in vain. The least audible of footsteps progress down the outside Magisterial hallway, and Brin peers timidly around the edge of the door Talon has left ajar. Not visible yet to the young princess, who is obscured by the man in the room, between Khiea and Brin, he remains quiet for now, shifting most of his body into the frame of the door, not yet making his presence known, he waits to see if it is a good time.
And the princess continues to seem amused with the distant chimes away, of notes of piano tone and violin pitch and... What? She blinks mildly in confusion this time, seeming to come at least -somewhat- more into the concious world, if just to drop her kind, but distant gaze back down to Talon, and fix him with a sort of perplexed little glance, "What do you mean? Ought I say more, Mister?" A pause, and she tilts her glance a bit, utterly lost to all this is worth, "Am I being rude? I'm sorry. Um.. How are you, Mister?" Well, that's a few words more, at least. And still she seems to look.. Utterly perplexed. So she shifts her weight and holds the stuffed animal at her lap a bit tighter. And continues to meet him with a.. Confused glance, although it is ever politely kind.
Talon shakes his head and mumbles something under hsi breath, "It seem father was right after all..." the rest is whispered, and the first partr was barely audibale to begin with, what had the man done to him? And why? Answers only Krelian would know, and what else would happen now that Talon someone he never was?
Ah. Here was someone Brin knew, at least. For it was a lonely existance to pay for the progress these talks have made, to sit, and think in the rooms below. And sometimes just sit. A welcome relief is found in anyone he knows to talk to, and the Princess Khiea seems to have been improving in how sociable she was these last few weeks. Not that Brin would mind. He could sit and talk to kids all day. He steps gingerly into the room, as bare feet stepping on hot tin, the few steps he makes are tentative, and he clears his throat lightly.
Oh, yes, it is an odd outfit that he wears, isn't it? But Khiea does not seem to be concerned with such, at least. Let other people trouble with details, let her worries fly away. For there is hope here, isn't there? Hope and good fortune. And Luka shall be found- she was told such, specifically, after all. So! Everything is nice and well. And Khiea merely blinks at him strangely, and notes, "...Pardon?" Ah, how strange. To hold conversations with himself and not even give as much as a greeting? Well! If he's not going to be polite, Khiea might as well -prompt- such of it, "Er.. Nonetheless... May I ask who you are?" And she trails off at the noise of entrance, of that lightly cleared throat... And Khiea's face breaks to a beam, and she waves. Now isn't this the ultimate insult, and -completely- inadvertant, to Talon? "Oh! Hello, Mister Brin! I've not seen you in ages!" Or a week. But does that matter?
Talon doesn't seem to mind the insult and then sees Brin, his eyes narrowing, "You..." a spark of recollection, "I hope your cat doesn't plan on clinging to me again." he then looks to Khiea, "Sis, why do you accept them so easilly into your home? They're just animals."
Brin smiles slightly at his recognition of Talon, and he flushes a bit. "I never got to apologise properly for that. Sometimes, Reoite..."... and he peers puzzledly at Talon. o 0 ( ... Sis?... ). What Talon says puzzles him somewhat, but that which he doesn't understand can be clarified. "Good evening, Khiea. Yes, it has been a while...".
Khiea keeps her focus on Brin for a moment more, grinning ever so brightly and granting a nod, "Evening! Its nice to see you, though! Have you been well?" And then she pauses, and turns those vast and silver eyes to Talon.. And.. messes up her focus a bit on him, in a sort of utterly blunt.. Confusion to his words. Although it looks more like she's trying to focus on something on the wall behind him, "Just animals? What are just animals?" She tilts her head mildly, only wondering faintly at the sharper reactions her mind would offer to give her, and granting them nothing more than a smile, "And what's wrong with animals, too? They can be very sweet." Isn't it -charming- how she can miss the point of everything so simply? Especially when her mind is off orbitting some distant planet. And yet, in great delay, her eyes suddenly widen, in a sort of perplexed curiosity, and she adds, utterly lost, "...Did you say -Sis-?"
Talon whips around fully glaring at her, "Yes, I said sis! Thats what you are! My sister!" He breathes slowly trying to calm himself, "Why are you being so difficult? You never were like this before." he turns away and slowly begins to walk off towards the door/
Brin stifles a slight gasp, and his eyes widen. Perhaps this was -not- a good time, after all, he thinks, as Talon passes him. There is nothing much he can do, the outburst being delivered in such an...untactful manner. Oh dear. Just when Khiea was getting better. He can only stand, and whisper quietly... "Oh my...".
Well. -That- certainly surprised Khiea. And while her thoughts sort themselves out, in whatever independant clutter they decide to settle to- No, of course its not a bother, of course its not a distraction, as she'd be more than lost without a hint or two of guessing to blink at- she.. Stares. And suddenly stumbles to her feet, snapping out a simple, high, "Wait!" And she balances herself from that swift gesture by landing her hands sharply on the table, the stuffed cat tumbling to the floor, forgotten to the moment, "Where are you -going-? How rude!" And a pause, as she sighs, all that.. Momentary irritation and confusion but.. Momentary. Perhaps it merely drifted a bit close a moment? No matter. For it seems to ebb just as easily, and settle back to her merely -perplexed- glance, "You could at least explain what you're talking about..." And quieter, almost sniffly the last note of, "I'm confused."
Talon stops at the door and stands there for a moment quiet making no sound except for his breathing, slowly he turns back to face her his features and expression softened considerably, he merely looks at her, standing there, and his hands clench into fists, he doesn't blink at all.
Brin looks at Talon, then at Khiea. The confused, and the...more confused? Brin would be confused, too, but appears to have summed up the situation. Neither of the two appear to have taken the situation well, and perhaps someone needs to mediate. Well, perhaps it is not required, but it's happening. "It's all right, Khiea, calm down. We'll work it out.". He turns to Talon, and speaks quietly. "Sorry, I don't know you, but perhaps you didn't explain yourself very well. I'm even a bit confused myself. Do you want to sit down and we'll talk about it?". Ever the mediator, Brin pulls back a chair for Talon, and nods to Khiea. "Perhaps it is best if we all calm down, and discuss this...".
Yes, princess- temper, temper. Calm and try to be a charming little example to this strange and misled man. And so Khiea smiles, a shy little expression, and the slightest bit uneasy. "Mister Brin.. That's a lovely idea." She says, as she turns her attention back to Talon, so irritated in his poise, "There's no need to be cross. Please. Be happy?" And just -what- has put Khiea in good enough spirits as of late to say -that-? "I think we're all just.. Confused. And thus we all misinterpreted everyone and.. Why don't we just sit and talk this out?" Ah, and she looks.. So uneasy, so wary as she says so. For wouldn't it be nice if everything worked out? Yes, yes, all perfectly charming ideas. Tiptoe around this delicate issue which is upsetting this man so... And try to find out just -what- is upsetting him in the first place, "Is something the matter? You can tell me, if you like. I like to listen to things!" Actually, this cheer is rather creepy. And rather uncommon for Khiea. But none
... nonetheless, let this be her retaliation- Talon's going to be short tempered and rude? Watch her -beam- in responce.
Talon stands there for a moment staring dumbly ahead, then nods and comes over to the table accepting the seat, "Very well." he says simply. Yes, let this be her retaliation, what does it matter, fathers left them for the time being, and left that idiot Lukev in charge...He has nothign beter to do at this time anyway.
Brin smiles, perhaps a little too widely for what should be, and is a tense situation. "Excellent..." he remains standing, and leans gently against the wall behind him, between the two sitting at the table. Now is not his time to talk, however, if these are to not be at each other's throats. Understanding the problem is paramount right now, and having it explained is therefore most important. "Um, I don't believe we've been introduced. I am Brin Gaisce, Etone. Perhaps now, we can have a proper introduction?" He smiles in the friendliest manner he knows how. o 0 ( ...one that doesn't involve tantrums? Please?... ).
Talon has disconnected.
