Khiea's Dream: Star-made Wishes
At least once, just everyone looks to a star and makes some means of a silent oath, a pledge, a wonder, a wish. And perhaps that's why, for this room alone, you feel like you're in a pastel-colored Planetarium. A thousand, million stars scatter the skies, unnaturally bright and colored in hues of every imagining, tossing their glittering reflection into the streams which parallel and occasionally splash across the pathway you follow. The horizon only seems to span as far as a bit before and beyond where you stand- almost like you're in a small orb of sorts. The effect is that of a double number of stars that wrap about you, multihued like a chime of happy Christmas lights, so vast and infinite that you feel.. Small, in a way. Wooden railings adorned in symbols of doves and roses border the pathway. Everything, everything seems silver and pale gold-yellow, from the grass to the pathway to the wood, the colors and casts of twinkling stars.

Fei
an Important OOC Sign (Read this!)
Fei looks at you.
Such a day. Such a day as this is only deserving of a deep, undisturbed sleep, the longest there has been for a while for this young Etone, the concerned look on his face he seems to wear most of the time these days invading even to the dream. But, it is a mock concern, a painted countenance on the mirthful glee that is his sleeping form. He is here, and stands, staring into the distance, even the normally preoccupied feline at his side staring into the horizon, as if...looking for something. Not a sound, now, from either, as they regard the view with an almost precise stare.
Fei paces back and forth, his eyelids drooping a bit, his hand idly rubbing the Nisan Cross at his neck. This was the second time he'd found himself in this world of pastel colors and glee. He had a certian nostalgia for it, despite that fact that he never felt very rested afterwards. He suddenly noticed another person in the dream. Company? What an appealing thought. He walks over towards the Etone.
No, not a sound, or a movement from the Etone, not being afforded the feline senses that make his diminuitive sidekick prick his ears up, and turn toward the approaching invader. A withering look. Who dares interrupt our search?. If cats could speak they would say....as Reoite says now. "Hello.". The words intended mostly to attract Brin's attention, less so than the shock effect it has on some dreamers. Brin blinks, and looks down to Reoite, seeing him not addressing him. He turns. "Fei.", he says only, before turning again to the horizon, as if something might have been missed as he looked away. A slight sniffle from Reoite, as he turns his body, too, and crouches, regarding Fei suspiciously.
Fei glances down at the cat creature, and then back to the man. "Ah, hello... we've met, have we not...?" he walks over. "Don't be so antisocial, now. You know you can't really leave here at will. You fade in and fade out. So it's pointless to act like you're looking for some sort of exit. At least, that's been my experience." That was rather blunt, yet true, in Fei's case. This dream, while liberating in some ways, was a control let up in others.

Brin turns his face again to Fei, as if resigned now to being distracted. "We all search for something. Perhaps you are yourself searching for an exit? If you presumed so...", he trails off, a glance to Reoite, enough to make the cat sit back, relaxing its aggression as if it were simply false. Brin pauses for a second, then his face shoots up toward Fei again. "Oh, I do apologise. Now it is I that is being presumptuous...". We are all afforded liberties here, Brin. remember that. "In reality, I'm looking for Bart". Yes, there is that directness, good. Together with his insistence on calling Bart by his name, and not 'Young Master', as those who serve him do. Because he, of course, does not. "I find that certain people are drawn toward each other here, if they look for each other hard enough.". Brin regards Fei again, for a second. "How have you been, anyway, Fei?".
Fei shrugs slightly. "Sleepy. Very sleepy. In constant danger of beign crushed, lashed, dismembered, blwon away, or otherwise disposed of... been doing a lot of gear maitenance, in other words..." If they look for each other hard enough... "You mean to suggest that there might be more people in here right now who I simply can't see? That's a rather unsettling thought..." Fei's eyes shifted around the area, seeing nobody but Brin.
Brin smiles. "To be honest, I don't know. The only people I've met here are Khiea and Citan, mainly. The occasional random person, but apart from that, people I know, or have met.". He thinks for a second, and continues. "You haven't seen Bart awake, by any chance? It would be..convenient. He has responsibilites, and I'm not about to chase him round thw world like Sigurd does.". Irritation, Brin? Yes, irritation. A feeling that Bart is not fully aware of just what his responsibility is. But, he could listen to Sigurd talk about that all day. If he knew where Sigurd was, of course.
Fei nods. "I saw him on the yggdrasil a while ago. It was by his gear's whip the I was nearly crushed. I was trying to help with some repairs, and it uncurled indie the cavity... anyways, that's the last I saw him. I'm not sure where he is now. Scouring high and low, I take it? You're an industrious fellow. I wish I had your kind determination... it'd make things a lot easier."
The smile remains, degenerating into a wry grin. "I wish it were so. Awake, I have work to do in Bledavik. This is the only place I can really search for him. I'm sure it was not created for the purpose, but, nonetheless...", he points out toward the horizon. "There are countless dreamers here at any one time. If he's among them, well, I'm hoping I can find him and let him know his country needs him."...he turns the Fei... "The Aveh council is...lacking Bart's forward attitude. With nobody in direct veto over anything, nothing gets done.". So, perhaps this rather optimistic plan might make Bart take a little more notice. Or not. Well, it remains to be seen.
Fei laughs a bit, scratching his upper chest idly with one hand. "You want Bart to be taking place in legal, formal proceedings? Honestly, i think you may be setting yourself up for a tremendous disapointment. Last I saw him, he was just as boisterous as ever. But, then again, I have seen him change, when need be... you think he was the will to unify the council? Him alone? Sigurd might be of assistance..."
Brin chuckles lightly. "If I could find Sigurd, either. No, what I meant was that we need a figurehead, someone who can give the last word, when it can't be agreed upon.". He scratches his chin, and looks at the ground in front of him thoughtfully. "Even if he were to appoint someone else as his vizier, of sorts, that could cast his veto. Perhaps not the best of ideas in most cases, but Bart -is- King, and Aveh needs to be ruled. It is as simple as having a decisionmaker. Which should be Bart.". He looks up at Fei again. "The word 'Figurehead' comes to mind, but it's such a cruel word. It implies incompetence. Bart could be a very good King, if only he wanted to...It is...a shame.".
Fei nods a bit. "So, basically, you have faith in the image, but not so much in the person..." Fei scratches his head a bit, his mind clicking. "This may strike you as simply the sorta ignorant comment a Lahanian like me would make, but... what's a vizier? I have no idea. Comes from... well, a lack of proper documentation in that area of the world."
Fei has disconnected.
Brin shakes his head, and smiles. "Oh, it's just an expression. Someone who takes the actual burden of administration, whil leaving a figurehead to serve as the public king. It's not that I distrust Bart's judgement. Like you, I don't see him settling down and being king. It is...simply an alternative.".

Fei nods, shruging a bit. "In all fairness, he's a bit young. I'd be hesitant, in his position. Give him a couple years, and a couple more chances to show off in his gear, and he'll warm up to the idea." He smirks. "I've been trying to force myself to read the encyclopedia... this way Citan's rambles won;'t confuse me so much..."
Brin laughs, a gentle chuckle. "Yes, the doctor can be a bit obtuse at times. I haven't spoken to him, or anyone outside the Aveh council for quite a while..."...he thinks, his hands on his hips, staring into the distance again. "Do you know where the Yggdrasil is?".

Fei puzzles for a moment, his hand rubbing his chin in an exaggerated motion of consideration. "I'm really not sure. I know I'm on it, but I dunno if we've been moving or not. Thing's been moving as gently as a cloud lately. We're undoubtedly... in the desert!" Fei smirks, trying to be optimistic.
Brin smiles. "Well, I suppose if that is the best you can do...that is all right.". He blinks slightly, and stands straight, almost to attention. "Ah. It would appear that the waking world calls. A shame". He picks Reoite up, and only the faintest nuance of fading can be seen just yet, as he begins to go soft and shimmery at the edges.
Fei eyes Brin's disappearing figure. "I'll notify Bart and Sig to keep an eye out for you. Don't go giving up, now...!" Fei gasps a bit, as he sees the slow fading process. Simply stunning, it is. Especially considering Fei didn't know this dream existed until recently.
Brin nods, as he fades, still. The main part of hi mnow descending to a haze, which is drifting away on the slight breeze. "Thank...you...".
