Citan's Nightmare: The Price of Free Will
A tearoom is here, austere and yet well-lit. The paper screens reveal the shadows of cherry trees just beyond in the gardens
outside, tossed in the breeze of a spring day. Petals tumble from their embrace of their branches, and there is the scent of
delicate blossoms through the air. Within the room, a low table has been set and cushions wait on either side to be kneeled
upon. There is great beauty and the relaxation of an afternoon once one steps outside of these walls. But that is the
boundary. To leave is to shirk all responsibilities, all acknowledgements--all chains that have been knowingly taken up. For
this is a prison no greater than one's Will. And as a reminder--as if this room itself were not filled with the struggle of
temptation versas discipline--the scroll of kanji hanging in the shallow alcove reads in dialect upon dialect: "This Is My
Choice."

Yui (OOC) exclaims, "You poor thing!"
Another night has rolled over, but never has time dictated by the mere rotation of heavenly orbs ever stopped this Guardian from acting upon his plans. And, on a less dramatic note--Hyuga is always one step in sleep these days anyway. And there is more reason than ever to welcome the thick folds of Nightmare's chill, for here now will he meet one whom he thought lost to him forever. Midori. His daughter. The one he loved so much he named after his favorite color... no. The other way. Or the like to that, or whichever whatever matters, which is really nothing these days save for how Hyuga half-hovers here, an inch above the floor. This distraction betrays what he is actually concentrating upon--the connection with Midori's mind, and then from there to demonstrate. "Midori..." he murmers, long hair drifting around his face as if he were underwater. His eyes are closed, for he sees far much more. "Reach out your mind. You can feel mine--you have always known how to, after all." With luck, his daughter's particular skills should assist her in this exercise. He always knew she was gifted. That warm feeling of approval and pride carries up the undercurrents of the normally ruthless Nightmare, but it does nothing to light the darkness. "Now.... once you can feel my hand, as if I were holding it now... remember your mother. Remember Yui... she is sleeping somewhere tonight. She is sleeping in a place we may not be able to reach, but if she dreams at all of what she might not want..." Then they shall expound upon that. And through there, find her. Good.
Yui (OOC) cries.
Midori (OOC) poses, then.
It is the young Midori, as she is in the real world, as she is, affirmed as who she is, here. The customary silence is still here, eyes closed, the face as if gently encouraging the concentration. What can she remember about her mother? Well, all that any child could, and more. The unconditional love that is unique to maternity, that is so unique as to have the right to be called that. It is not Midori's wish to hurt her mother, of course. If this is to give mother a nightmare, or make her think of unpleasant things, it is only to bring her here? To assure her somehow that all is well. To see the family reunited, even in these circumstances. She stands obediently, eyes closed, hands joined behind her, concentrating. Waiting.
Midori (OOC) kicks the pose, and makes tea.
But if she dreams at all of what she might not want... If only Yui did have the good luck to find herself in dreams of the past, hung with memories of joy and calmness and security that all but shattered in the waking world. But how could she, come the days of late? How could she, when she finds herself dreaming things that are altogether too -real-, remembering so much she's lost and reminded of so much she failed at? No. Somewhere, within the vastness of the waking world, Yui barely rests at all, in some troubled sleep only filled with dreams of doubt, dreams of loss, dreams that condemn her own self for not being able to do everything -just- -perfectly- -right-. No easier target could be found for nightmare, this mind so caught in doubt. Watch. The nightmare stirs. As she who is called comes too simply into this world, the barest of a short hop between forlorn dreams and outright nightmare. But.. How odd. Another dream too real? And yet Yui is almost afraid to open her eyes to it, drawn to such a place of all places. This is not like the other dreams, full of detached calm and bittersweet joy, ringing of losses and days long past that hold as much joy in their rememberance as sorrow at their loss. This is no adoring dream that calls of bittersweet recollection. This is.. Somehow so much more threatening, so much darker. The looming terror that one will open one's eyes to a nightmare instead, full of something the mind wills to simply -recoil- from... And yet, so warily, Yui opens her eyes to this place, wary, worried, uneased.. And wondering what she has come to. Such disorientation, to be thrown from one condeming dream to something like this. She quite does not know where she is or what has happened. How weak that mind can seem when so confused, so out of place.
Yui (OOC) apologizes for that taking so long.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "No need to apologize."
Midori (OOC) patpats. Worth the wait ^^.
Yui (OOC) says, "Hardly. ^^"
Hyuga (OOC) liked it!
Yui (OOC) is glad, then. ^^
Fear is not such a -terrible- thing, was it? True, the giving of a nightmare or at least unpleasant settings to another could be considered a rather unkind action. And yet... and yet. They stand now in Nightmare and it is not so bad at all, is it? Indeed, Hyuga -is- Nightmare, and he is not devolving into fangs and claws to go smearing a person's internals across the walls, is he? Not yet. For it is also true that Nightmare is a shade that is nothing less than reality turned so very real that it is a thing to flee from, but can never be escaped. That can be the real fear. Hence. Could that really be so bad? And Yui does dream of them, or at least can find distress over thoughts of the both of them. That is close enough. Certainly near enough to draw such delicate strands of sick uncertainty out like gossamer over the world and so pull her closer still. But this is also for a lesson, is it not? "Try to feel out the connections, Midori, but do not tighten the net too quickly," Hyuga cautions. "If the dreamer is given too strong of a grip suddenly, they may wake themselves from the shock. Else they may take a little harder work to retain them in a coherant state for conversation." Terror itself, thick and rich, was an easy thing to walk through and support the weight of passengers, but this is his wife, after all. This is her mother. "Careful," he lilts again, not distrustful of Midori's skills. "I know you will do an excellent job. Now. Solidify her presence here by reaching past her emanation here... can you feel it? The gleam of the exits behind her? Reach for those... try to hold them and dip them in this world here, that she cannot slip away quickly." So Hyuga speaks as if Yui cannot hear them. Well. All things in due time. Meanwhile, as his hair drifts like a stormy cloud about his features, those eyes shift open to regard his wife over the faint tilt of a smile.
Hyuga (OOC) teaches... his child.....
Yui (OOC) finds that pose entirely frightening.
Slowly. And yet, Midori fears for her own presesnce here. Does she drift away consciously, or pseudo-consciously as the case may be, or is a will to stay enough? Still, father knows best. It is her mother in Shevat. It is her mother in the house on the hill. It is her mother's scream as she was swept overboard, and orphaned to the rest of thw world. The scream. Hold onto it, a moment of anguish and pain, that draws her in. A moment the three had shared. Do you remember, mother? Am I being too...forward? Well, this is not the real world, is it? This is father's. This is father. Still, the eyes remain closed, oblivious to any success, or failure. It...will not be long.
Midori (OOC) shortposes, and kicks this computer and its terrible everything.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "The Real World... or My World. Hmmm...."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "You make them sound so different...."
Midori (OOC) says, "The real world's fear level is just more sporadic."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Indeed. It is faulty."
Hyuga (OOC) coughs.
Yui (OOC) stares.
Yui (OOC) does think all this nightmare power has gone to your head, dear. X.x
Hyuga (OOC) says, "As in powergaming? Or just insanity? Fine, fine. *slinks off, grumbling*"
Yui (OOC) only meant insanity, nothing mean. ^^
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Ah, okay. ^^"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Still... more fear means that it is easier to travel...... *sees this rapidly becoming a plot element, or at least something for other people to avoid*"
Midori (OOC) makes Hyu the patron saint of having a really yukky time.
Yui (OOC) laughs!
Yui (OOC) says, "Let us all give our thanks to Hyuga for this really yucky time.."
Hyuga (OOC) sulks.
Midori (OOC) becomes the countess of spookiness, and starts to wear black.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "No green? O_o"
Hyuga (OOC) gives her green wings!
Yui (OOC) proclaims herself the only sane Uzuki.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "...............likely you are, dear."
Yui (OOC) beams.
Midori (OOC) wears black suede with green twinge. And flaps her wings at people.
Hyuga (OOC) suddenly imagines his daughter in a dress suit with green trimming and a hookah. "You are too young to smoke, Midori." Watches bubbles come out of the hookah. "....all right then."
Midori (OOC) will respond to that once she recovers from her giggling fit.
Hyuga (OOC) gets... a picture idea.
Midori (OOC) steals Hyu's drawing equipment.
Hyuga (OOC) steals some random dreaming victim's drawing skills.
Midori (OOC) steals their souls.
Voices..? Or is that all but a trick of memory, a trick of a dream that rings such only because she knows she -wants- to hear her husband's voice, or to know Midori is near? Hopeless loss, the lot of it, that some colder rationale of hers can sigh at. Why wish for so much lost, especially.. When dreaming and thinking of such things lately is almost a dangerous thing? How unsettling when one can not trust even one's dreams to make some reasonable amount of sense, when one can fear to wake up to some place.. Some place like this. Which she comes to ever so slowly, ironically.. Like one waking from a dream. Is this what it is like to wake -to- a dream? To be so lost and wondering where you are, such that she is only a wisp upon this world, some impression as faint as ghosts are said to seem, and so very cautiously, so slowly, draw to some clearer realization? Right.. This is who I am, more than just confusion and loss, and I am.. I am.. Where? Take hold of those drifting memories that draw you here, that remind you of who you were and are in this world that seems to wish to rob you of any of it. Simple thoughts and older memories, and.. Yui chokes, a sharp and painful catch of breath. That -scream-. Which draws to mind so many memories, that terrible, terrible night when she -failed-. When all there was was hopelessness and -loss-. And it is as simple as that. She is here. As entirely as anyone can be. She is here, even while her mind cringes from that memory, attempting for all its worth to find some way to think around it, to not remember every last detail of that loss, that pain, that... And with that she blinks, less lost and more confused. And glances up with eyes too vast with confusion, almost flinching in their depths from that memory's remembered pain. "What.."
No, that is precisely what you need to do, Midori. See? Already you have a knack. Now. Hyuga reaches forth to bolster Midori's effort, the collective wails of heart from the three of them ringing down through the past and echoing in a last gasp inside this tearoom. Already the smell of the sea is here. It crashes outside of this paper and wooden room, but here there is to be tea and a meeting. Let the full force of untamed Nightmare rage elsewhere! Hyuga catches the last trail of Midori's own sentiment, but has no time save to throw a quick brush of emotion in her direction and hope that that will comfort for now, here in this realm of cold logic and achievements. Midori has done well indeed. "You are here, Yui." Hyuga's voice is a voice to be heard at the back of one's neck while walking down streets when one thought themselves to be alone, a voice that is drawn upon itself and holding its weaponry in hand. "You are here now. Come. Sit." Hyuga raises a hand to brush back those drifting strands and after a moment descends back to the floor. Time to remember rules of polite gravity and all. "Sit." His eyes weigh the room a moment, and her. Then he speaks once more, the man in Solarian whites trimmed with blues, the only greens those gleaming in the jewel upon his chest. "Why not catch up... with your daughter? Midori?" You have done well, my daughter. Now relax. I have it. "Shall I pour the tea for us all?"
Midori has...done it? The eyes open, and are her own again, for now she is the daughter, and the nightmare need not again draw out its tenrils. Yes, you are here. Good. Father said you would, if we thought about it enough. If only we wished it enough, it would happen here. And so it has. And so, the three are here, and Midori is by now familiar with the etiquette of this room. Yes, there is tea. She takes her place at the side of the table, reserving the two ends for her parents. > ...Yes, sit... < . There is...much to be said, if Yui would anly stay a while, and say it. Do say you'll stay, mother. I know you hate a wasted journey. I know better then anyone.
Midori (OOC) invents tenrils, and makes them be the same as tendrils.
Hyuga (OOC) applauds!
Hyuga (OOC) says, "I knew you were a quick study...."
Midori (OOC) sends an army of tenrils to do her bidding.
Hyuga (OOC) makes them green.
Midori (OOC) says, "Of course..."
Hyuga (OOC) searches for his pencil....
Midori (OOC) runs away with it!
And all Yui can do is -cringe- as she finds herself so entirely in this realm, led by such emotions, such memory.. Oh, but she needs no notice to tell her that she is here. She could be nothing but, so clearly here now, with the echoes of that night still ringing in her head as it dares to calm to.. Tea? Yui blinks, more than a shade confused. For this is not a sort of dream that she is used to, this is not a situation to be expected.. And certainly, after all of that, there is.. Tea? Hopelessly lost a moment more, "Citan..?" But that sound dies off before it even really begins. For she knows, at its very utterance, that it is the wrong name. But she shakes her head then, attempting to gather some of her wits about her.. This is an odd scene which welcomed her in a very painful way, but.. "Midori?" A blink to that. For the need here is to apply logic, to apply rational to this world, and so much of it fails to cling, so much of it fails to make any sense in the least. But her glance finds Midori and locks, wide and surprised, almost cringing in recollection of that face to that remembered moment.. But swiftly it calms to comfort in her being here. A weak emotion, almost timid to rise, in all this unfamiliar nightmare. Confused? Entirely. But still Yui nods, a sort of detached reaction, "Oh? Of course.." Of course what? She'll move to sit for tea, and yet.. Do forgive if she is more than a little mentally off balance. She sits at one end of the table then, somewhat hesitant.. "I.." What? That thought is too muddled to express even as it is said, "Well, forgive me if I'm confused, but.." You are here, Yui. Where is here? Its so.. Hard to express so much distress. Especially when so much of it has no true answer.
Yui (OOC) has to go to dinner. AFK!
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Don't choke yourself swallowing it down whole, dear."
Yes. Tea. Ignore the howls of the ocean just audible outside the panels slid back to admit the view of the gardens outside this room. Ignore the fact that there seems to be no freshness to the sun outside--just some muddled brightness which rings heavy with the sensation of storms. Outside there is chaos, but within there is the sanity of rigid self-discipline... and self-denial that will scream in its own way and its own pain as the sakura tumble. Yes. Tea. And that is the wrong name -entirely-, but Hyuga lets it pass for now with a nod of his head. He sits opposite Yui, the places doled out so neatly by their daughter. And he reaches for the cups. "See? That was not so hard, Midori..." He sounds approving, and with good reason. "We shall learn to walk out the next time, perhaps? It's so interesting to see what others come up with for their minds... and to see how things all connect." The Guardian slips to contractions for the pleasure of it, the Solarian rolling off his tongue as he knows it will still be understood anyway. "Pardon me for the manner by which we invited you, Yui. It's not... taking you away from other business, is it?"
Hyuga (OOC) watches his poses shrink.
Hyuga (OOC) blames the tenrils.
Midori (OOC) calls them off!
Hyuga (OOC) hahs! And tries to rescue the rest of his pose, giving up and saving it for the next round.
Hyuga (OOC) realizes that if his daughter is the Catapillar, then she will be sitting on a lot of mushrooms....
Midori (OOC) BLINKS!
Hyuga (OOC) forsees many more jokes about the Uzuki family and drugs.
Yui (OOC) returns!
Hyuga (OOC) oos suddenly at interesting symbolism between Khiea the Butterfly and Midori the Smoking Catapi... wait.
Yui (OOC) X.x
For someone allwoed to be so young, the end still precludes the means for Midori. She smiles lightly at her mother, for a second being sickly-sweet, as only little girls should. Well, yes, she did just give her mother a nightmare, but...it was more of a morose and perhaps slightly forceful nudge in the correct direction. But, mother is here, and ther is tea, in the physical and political senses. She watches the exchange, pausing only to nod at father as he addresses her. Yes, there is something that may take Yui away from her duty. But, for now, there...is tea.
Midori (OOC) hides.
Yui (OOC) pauses to randomly awe at how Y, u and i are right next to each other on the keyboard.
Yui (OOC) says, "In that order, too. *Decides to pose now. ^^*"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "That is because even keyboards know how magnificant my wife is."
Yui (OOC) smiles. ^^
Midori (OOC) doubts if flattery will save father from being dragged from Solaris by his ear.
Yui (OOC) says, "No, I'm afraid not. But it is appreciated. ^^"
Hyuga (OOC) drats.
Hyuga (OOC) rearranges the keys on Yui's keyboard.
Yui (OOC) peers. And rearranges the keys on Hyuga's keyboard so H, y and u are no longer in a triangle.
Hyuga (OOC) grumbles! And arranges them so S, h, e, v, a, and t are no longer conveniently scattered close to each other.
Yui (OOC) steals the S, o, l, a, r, and i keys off of Hyuga's keyboard entirely!
Hyuga (OOC) te l M, , d, , nd g n!
Yui (OOC) cackles!
Midori (OOC) restores the keys to each keyboard, and superglues them in. Play nice! ^^.
Hyuga (OOC) nolongercantypewhileglued.
Midori (OOC) laughs.
And to that sickly-sweet smile, Yui can not help but smile in response, gaze softening a little from its blunt and utter confusion. Midori.. smiling in such a way? Its such a rare thing to see her so happy, especially after.. That thought is jumped as best she can, something of a stumble as she tries to not remember the ocean which looms so threatening just beyond this room. Which haunts and reminds like something you know that dances right in the edge of your eyes.. Enough to put you off balance, enough, certainly, to unnerve. And.. he speaks in Solarian? Even that is a fact to be unnerved at, something which rises concern in those dark eyes of hers as her smile finds reason to pale, and her gaze reason to shift away from Midori. And yet, here she an understand it. Even as she understands so little else. "Its no harm.." That you summoned her like this? Even words which attempt so desperately to hint at politeness can not hide the fact that she is more than upset by this, by the situation, the people, the confusion and all. "I wasn't busy elsewhere.." Of course not. Her only purpose to being on the surface is to find him. Find Midori. Talking to them here makes that entire quest seem momentarily aimless. Even while she is still not sure who is where, who is what, or if any of this is even -real-. What an unsettling situation. It is so tempting to let the concept of duty rest, and simply turn to tea. Impossible, somehow. While, confused as she is, some slightest strength within takes that detached lostness out of her voice, if just to sound that softest bit wary of it all. And even then her first sentence that sounds -real- is simply, "Midori.. Have you been well?"
Yui (OOC) kicks that pose.
Never mind the Solarian. Never mind the figure of the girl you thought to be dead. And the tides pull in, drawing back and leaving almost a palpable void where the breath flies loose to fill the pressure and ease the pain. Hyuga is pouring tea, and smiling at the edges from the bitterness of the poor joke. Doing anything else... doing what, precisely? Exactly. "Well. Now that we're all together again, why don't we catch up?" The Guardian sounds almost disturbing in how politely chipper he is, clapping his hands together after the cups are dispensed. Yui has already started. "Midori?" He too turns his eyes towards his daughter, softened at the edges from what might be sympathy for being put on the spot in such bizarre settings that could break a soul for their sheer meanings, and yet hardened at the center from the knowledge of what he must be now. Hyuga chooses not to speak again, silently clearing the space for Midori to reply for as much or as long as she wishes. Go on. It's a right of yours to exercise here. Speak, if you want. My daughter.
Midori blinks. For all the effort expended in getting her mother to come here, she is now lost for a moment. What is it, exactly, that you say to someone who you thought dead? Who probably still thinks you're dead? Now, she must justify the end, for herself, and the means, fr her mother's sake. "I...have been well. A little lonely, but father has been here." And...father is here, still. It was so short, that last meeting. So little time to explain. "I did not get to talk to you much last time. Father has explained. He has been teaching me...". Teaching, supervising, in the most surreal task, that only one so young could accept as possible. "Where are you, mother? I thas been so long...". Always practical, and to the point. It is...perhaps an inherited trait.
Yui (OOC) wishes harm on her connection.
Midori (OOC) patpats.
Hyuga (OOC) Nightmares it.
I was brought here to the scenes of one of the worst nights in my life, and you are.. Chipper about it? It seems almost something to raise an eyebrow to, in how little it makes this entirely out to be. But, ah, this is nightmare? That is what you have come to do here, drawing up these litanies of unpleasant memories simply because they are so frighteningly useful in what they are. But Yui knows that not. But she, at least, has only the grace to be softly confused. For even in a place like this, with the tide just outside feeling so threatening that one wishes to tilt away from it simply for existing.. There is comfort in the fact that they are together again. Even if it is in situations that baffle Yui, who can do nothing else but reason out what she may from these situations so surreal that reasonableness often fails. And she blinks, as Midori.. actually speaks. But that is a mild surprise, only passed off as something interesting to wonder at. For anything and everything is beginning to seem reasonable here. Rather, a small smile finds its way to her face, a rather.. Fragile looking expression. But it is honest, entirely. "I'm sorry.." For what? But that is the first tone that manages to fall from her. Lonely? Oh, Midori.. That hurts to hear. I'm sorry that I could not save you, sorry that you are alone, sorry for so much that I -should- have done.. "Teaching you? Teaching you what..?" And for how kind and faint that question is, it seems rather easy to dismiss, as shakes her head faintly, as if to brush aside that question, and wonder at her later question, "Where am I?" When she is awake? That seems only reasonable to wonder at. "I'm.. in Aveh. But.." A pause. "Where.. where are you?" And if the answer is 'nowhere', if the answer is in death, then Yui can expect that. Even if her voice shakes a little at that.
Yui (OOC) awes at how little of that made sense.
Midori (OOC) achieves her purpose. Yay!
To all of this, Hyuga is but sipping from his tea. Curse the man for the hairline twist of the smile upon his face that turns it from pleasant into something which simply shouts that he is thinking of things proper to this side of the dream. Indeed, chipper. For this is the world where one must use anything and everything--including personal terrors--for an inch to be gained or an inch to be sacrified for better use elsewhere. "I've been teaching Midori how to navigate this side of sleep, Yui. For," his eyes flash in bitter amusement as he sets his cup down to glance at her, "this is but a dream, is it not?" A private joke, as it were--he looks to his daughter next for the rest of it. This is but a dream, but that means nothing if it is -not- real. "We are... you could say that we are really nowhere and everywhere right now. It's a rather subjective space, as it were. We may be dead." Here comes the smile, flashing again and just as sharp. "We may only be asleep. But regardless, we are here again, aren't we? Reunions can be so nice." The Guardian lowers his head as petals begin to drift in--or do they fall from his hair, from his flesh? Never mind. Never mind. "Physically and mentally... they're such two different lines of being. All of us at this table should be aware of that..."
Yui (OOC) fears Hyuga.
Hyuga (OOC) smiles.
Hyuga (OOC) pauses to take his routine overdose of meds to fix his painful ribs and breathing.
Yui (OOC) nods.
Midori smiles again, that same smile so unlike her. "I am...here.". It is as simple as choosing that the dreaming world is preferable to the waking one. And choosing to think of oneself as being here. "In the waking world, I am at the...orphanage.". Even Midori is constrained by her memory when remembering a new word. Still, she is here. "I like it here.". This is something of a tersely-worded understatement. It is only through physical dependance on continuing to live that she leaves at all, now. Having a metabolism can be such a pain, sometimes.
One could almost cringe from the rather cheery sounding nature of Hyuga's words. You could hide so much in a smiling tone, and keeping something hostile within it would be so simple.. But no. It is something to note, something to reasonably consider, but Yui is not much disposed to start expecting hidden murder in his words. When most of the quiet mockery is.. Quite out in the open without having to take paranoia at hand and search. Harmless as it truly is. So. Nothing of concern. Nothing she wouldn't expect. "You have.." And that is a statement, trailed off as it is, as she looks up to Hyuga. And Yui's tone is hard to place on that line, calm and kind as it was before. But trust her to mark every comment that is said. Those words are only there to betray that she is thinking, seriously, upon what he said. "I see." Distant, that sound. You.. have known how to find Midori for some time, then? When Yui only had the luck to stumble into her so briefly once before in this baffling net of impossibly real dreams. And.. There is a little unintentional upset that rises in her at that. Upset that he knew where Midori was, and she, she did not.. When.. Well. Midori is here now, right? Then Yui wishes nothing else than to talk to her. Although there is some quiet surprise in her voice, "An.. Orphanage?" Does hope -dare- rise in those eyes? So Midori is somewhere, when awake? Somewhere true and real? Ah, how some reasonableness vainly protests that this still is all a silly dream! Hope is too bright in her eyes as she turns quickly back to Midori, "I'm glad you like it here, but.. Are you all right when.. When awake?" Hope is too bright in her voice at that, too. Only falling short of asking in that same breath May I see you? Please? Outside of this place, so unreal and baffling?
Midori (OOC) must disconnect for about 20 minutes. Someone needs to phone. Be right back...
Hyuga (OOC) nods!
Hyuga (OOC) wonders suddenly what the heck happened to spoof.
Yui (OOC) asks, "Something happened to spoof?"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Ah, never mind. If it came out all right."

Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Bad spoof!"
Midori (OOC) nods.

He will always be here. This is a certainty that has not been smashed to pieces in the last few weeks for Midori. If he will always be here, does it matter if she is with mother, or father? After all, it _is_ shevat. Shevat, the city of happy memories, and a carefree existence. Perhaps it will be the same. Perhaps. Solaris...kills what it does not like. She cannot help but remember her father's words. Her father has never lied to her. She looks up at Yui, and does not speak. It is not her decision. It is a matter of duty, as always. Please, do not make me choose, if nothing else. PLease.
Yui (OOC) feels.. miserable.
Midori (OOC) shortposes, and gets distracted by folk crawling back to bed after latenight phonecalls .
Hyuga (OOC) is evil.
Yui (OOC) wants to stab Hyuga, but can't bring herself to do it. >.< "You want me off the surface that badly, and you're being so mean out of kindness! Grr."
Hyuga (OOC) watches his family become enmeshed in the Ethos plot suddenly. O_O
Yui (OOC) asks, "They.. could attempt to assassinate Erine before I get to Midori! And isn't Midori with the smiling Bishopess now?"
Midori (OOC) warks. And laughs at the URL.
Yui (OOC) thinks of fun plot.
Yui (OOC) giggles at the comic.

Hyuga (OOC) says, "O_O"
Hyuga (OOC) tries to give Cliste nightmares.
Yui (OOC) says, "Of course.. Odd and scary things would happen, were someone to shoot Erine. Fun! ^^"
Yui (OOC) patpats Hyu, "Good try, but I think it would have to dream for you to do that."
Hyuga (OOC) watches the pissy angels descend out of the sky with flaming swords.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Yes. Curse you Cliste."
Hyuga (OOC) resists temptation to take rest of bottle...
Yui (OOC) peers at Hyu.
Midori (OOC) cries. Bad, bad Macintosh.
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "But it's so rare that drugs make me dizzy instead of just wretchedly sick!"
Hyuga (OOC) funs around@
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Then be glad about it!"
Hyuga (OOC) takes more!
Midori (OOC) steals them.
Yui (OOC) says, "Oh, don't -try- to make yourself sick. ^_^;"
Hyuga (OOC) already knows he can't die from too much Motrin....
Yui (OOC) says, "Well, that's not an excuse."
Midori (OOC) steals them.
Yui (OOC) says, "Oh, don't -try- to make yourself sick. ^_^;"
Hyuga (OOC) already knows he can't die from too much Motrin....
Yui (OOC) says, "Well, that's not an excuse."
So direct, indeed. And Yui pauses at that line, that fragile little smile falling to a very even expression. Calmness. It is a wonderful defence to hide the million racing thoughts that dawn upon her in that instant. "Well..." Well, what? How entirely frustrating! That he can say something so clearly -reasonable-.. How in the world is Yui meant to argue with that? But she meant to find -you- as well, Hyuga, and came to the surface with your Gear and your sword for that reason.. And for all that, you still can find so easy a way to ask her back to Shevat with such a comment that is only -too- reasonable? There is no way to say No. There is no way she could bear to say no, even with duty aside. But.. But.. How hopeless. She did not want it to go like that, you realize. And yet.. Even more frustrating yet, how can she be mad at that? All he wants is her off the surface and out of danger, out of this war and its peril. And still it is -frustrating-. Comprimise does not sit well with her. "I.. I suppose th
that would be the best thing to do.." And yet she does not quite sound as determined in that line as she does just resigned to it. Of course she wishes to see Midori, to be with Midori, to make sure she is safe and well.. But the feeling of only doing half of what she set out to do does not, in the least, settle well with the Shevvite. Instead, she turns to Midori with a very small smile, "Would you want for me to find you when we wake and bring you home?" For that is what Shevat is, isn't it? No, Yui does not want Midori to chose between them in the least. But the thought of Midori in Solaris could strike shivers down her spine, could Yui hear the ponderings on that thought.
Yui (OOC) grumbles about being plotted against.
Yui (OOC) pauses. Realizes who she's talking about, and thus how rediculous that protest is. Never mind!
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Hah!"
Midori (OOC) isn't plottin'. She jus' wishes pops would stop drinkin' so much.
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "What?!"
Yui (OOC) stares, "Hyu!"
Midori (OOC) blinks at that, and puts the chocolate away.
There. That could be it all, couldn't it? Yui retrieves Midori... and the two of them go back to the paradise in the sky, Shevat--the city of peace that was caught up in war anyways but had its safety ironically preserved by the very nation which fought them. There. They would be safe there and... why is it such a grating thing upon Hyuga now? Because once they are there, you will never see them again. As opposed to now? Hush, Guardian. And there is always the Dream. He must hold to that, as he has so many times in the past for other times of sanity alone. Hyuga's very deftness of logic plagues him. Yet only a flicker of light across his face betrays this own hatred of his own works--such a battle of heart and duty is really not -fetching- for him, is it? Drat that part of him which bore the name Citan. "Then... yes." As Yui begins to make plans, Hyuga looks away and lets her. It's best this way. And Midori... he will always see you. Whenever you sleep....
Sometimes is is better to salvage what you have. Sometimes something must be lost to be gained. Midori...knows she may never see her father again. It is not her choice, because she did not have to choose. It was decided, and duty bore the brunt of the blame for what would result. Still, it is impossible now to lay blame. It is impossible now to break down, and change your mind, when it has been made up. Midori looks up at her father, the blank stare returning, perhaps for good this time. She does not understand. She only understands so much, and these truths for now, are saved for explanation to herself when she can hope to understand them. It is not for her to make the decision, no. Be her agelessness as it may, her parents know best. And that...is that.
Midori (OOC) switches the rambletron to full power.
Hyuga (OOC) fears suddenly his daughter's ability to learn and follow in his footsteps.
Midori (OOC) claims her father's sword, and rambles about shevat clutching it.
Yui (OOC) says, "What is it with little children wanting to run off with this sword? o.o"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Then Midori can take my sword and Gear and.... bad image."
Yui (OOC) says, "Don't jinx it! Once upon a time, we said that Khiea with a Gear would be a sign of the coming apocalypse."
Yui (OOC) says, "And look what came of that >.>"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Yes. This dream."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "The loss of your husband. No, that's the Contact's fault in part...."
Yui (OOC) goes out to stab Fei! Wait, no.
Midori (OOC) says, "If there's anything more apocalyptic, I haven't seen it ^^."
Midori (OOC) knows who fei really is, and stabs him anyway.
Hyuga (OOC) grins.
And that is that. Perhaps.. Even nightmare is a bittersweet worry, like all those pleasant dreams which hung with so much what-once-was. For this should be something to smile over, shouldn't it? The fact that her daughter was alive and well, and that she could find her and bring her back home where it was safe... And yet that's comprimise. That's falling short of what Yui went out to do. It.. doesn't include finding her husband. And that is not a decision that settles well with her. At all. So she can smile, but it is such a sad expression, as she nods simply, "Then.. I suppose it is all right if I find you, Midori?" She can only hope so. For there is that -regret- within her that still hurts at how she failed to save Midori before, and still thinks that, in all righteousness, Midori would have every right to not want to come home.. But no. That is a thought distressing above all others, and is most likely just rediculous worry. And yet.. Yui looks back up to Hyuga then, that same somewhat resigned regret in those eyes. Which strongly reflect the entirety of this. I do not like it. I do not want to. You know that, don't you? And still, all she can say are very light words. And a question that knows how rediculous it all is, "I don't suppose.. That you would say where you are?" Its a foolish question. She knows that. But she still finds the need to ask it.
Midori (OOC) stares at the Elru on the WHO list.
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "How cute!"
"I am here, Yui." There. That is all. And Hyuga's face turns another fraction away from the group--how can he choose to acknowledge his daughter? How can he his wife? He is the Guardian, whose entire life is based upon manipulations. He deserves nothing given to him that he cannot barter, sell, and steal for. Very well. "Midori..." is what comes next, very softly as the man stirs at last and looks towards his daughter. "You are so young to already know that wanting one thing or another means so little. Someday..." Someday you may hate me for that. Or perhaps the world will have been destroyed first. But will they both leave him? Or will his daughter still visit come the nights? To each of those and to it all, and especially to Yui, he does not care to look directly towards, only dropping his gaze again and feeling the flow of the ocean outside. "I am dead, Yui. Think of it better that way." He moves abruptly, standing and moving to look outside, his back to them both. "I am dead. Let it be forever."
Midori looks down, and studies the folds of her dress. Wanting something so much that you would go out of your way to do, to obtain, to be, is pointless. Something will take it away, and that is that. It is as it has always been. Now, father is being taken away, at least physically. But, this is not duty, this is not what is best. Midori atands, and moves quietly to stand beside him. She reaches, and half-grabs his hand, encircling his thumb. Perhaps this might not be duty, perhaps this might not be obligation, perhaps it is not that simple. Perhaps...it is fate. "Even if it means so little, know that I want to see you again sometime.". Know that we both do.
Midori (OOC) hands out the kleenex.
Yui (OOC) sniffles.
Hyuga (OOC) accepts more drugs.
Set.
Well. She had to ask, if nothing else. And Yui could not say she was expecting any more detailed an answer than that. And still, she gives herself the leisure of a small frown. Well. So it is. And she blinks away at that, turning her gaze aside. Midori... it is tragically sweet. And so wrong. Could you not, at least, tell me where you are for that, Cita--..Well, could you? If simply because it hurts to watch Midori still wish to see you, while you insist on being half across the world. Duty be damned. And yet.. For all it is the source of so many problems, Yui understands, -how- she understand, that such duty is unavoidable. She is just as guilty of following it. And yet.. That is all but hopeless wishing, isn't it? For this has all made her so tired that she reaches out and just -hopes- for a simple all-solving answer that she knows does not exist. And she sighs, and shakes her head ever so slightly to Hyuga's words. She can not take simple answers to put her worries to rest. You know that. And above all.. She can not accept him as dead. Even were it true. Just watch her be stubborn to the end. And try, for how vain she knows it is.. To hope for something to just go -right-. Since it is truly all she can now do.
Yui (OOC) says, "Mid'ri's pose was cute. That sucked. Drat."
Yui (OOC) is getting too tired to make sense. ^^
Midori (OOC) patpats. And needs to fall over sometime soonish, too.
Hyuga (OOC) hahs and breaks the scene into pieces then! ICly and OOCLY!
Midori (OOC) FEARS!
Midori (OOC) asks, "Hyu pose, then continue later?"
Hyuga (OOC) BREAKS the scene! HAHAHAH... okay, if people want.
Yui (OOC) thinks this is near end as it is? Or maybe not. Depends on what people still want to say.
Yui (OOC) didn't get to stab anyone! Drat. Still a beautiful scene, though! ^_^
Midori (OOC) thinks...we should see what Hyu does before saying the scene is over.
Midori (OOC) FEARS!
Yui (OOC) nods!
No. -No-. If he is alive and if he is Citan, then he must be the father and husband that he should be. He should still have hope for the future and the Contact--not the bitterness which lines his throat and turns his words to gall. His hand rests upon Midori's own, the warmth between them of skin remembered and the even more precious one of emotion itself... can he be nothing if not deceased? For to do so is to put away all the wars between truth and lie forever, and how it destroys him. This was why the Guardian went so far as to rip his own soul in twain and hide it forever, like a precious jewel in the wrappings of Dream far away from the world of mundane grime. He cannot forget that. "Midori..." The waves are crashing outside. They are getting louder. "Yui..." Then the man slides his hand free from that of his daughter, though not without the slowness that screams of regret. And he turns. Eyes pitted with the howls of those caught in terror-wrapped sleep, how the Guardian's expression is so very fallen. Angels sing so sweetly on their way down. "I am -dead- to you. Citan was a -lie-. He was a man who had no right to exist, and you," he points at Yui first, and then to his daughter, as if his hand had the power to strike them down with simple will alone... and perhaps it does, here, "And you were only caught up in his manipulations. Do you understand this? This is the -truth-, Yui. Can you not let it -rot- in the future it has made for itself?" The sound of the ocean is in his ears. It is all around them, and Hyuga can only hear the roaring now, louder by far than his own voice as it shouts forth. "I will always be here for the both of you when I can. But Citan -cannot-. You love a man who is -dead-. He was never alive to begin with! He never should have been." Softer now. He cannot hear anything but the sound of water. "Never..." Those terrible, terrible eyes are closing as Hyuga can feel himself slipping away, as he does so often emotionally under pressure and tangibly here. "Midori..." He can feel himself dissolving, and as he does so does his form into the signature sakura. So quickly does his mind blank itself, howling its own self-damnation. Those eyes are closed now, and then they are completely gone, torn away into shreds of pink upon the wind. But he only whispers, at the last. "Y.. ui..."
Yui (OOC) stares.
Yui (OOC) applauds.
Hyuga (OOC) completely forgot how to type halfway through several times.
Midori (OOC) wails!
Yui (OOC) sniffles at the pose. X.X
Midori (OOC) exclaims, "Group Hug!"
Yui (OOC) violently resists the tasteless sap which first comes to mind to respond with. Must find grace to type with! Even at 11 PM.
Hyuga (OOC) is a pile of sakura.
Yui (OOC) snickers. And realizes its over anyway. But how sweet. ^_^
Midori (OOC) frolics in the pile.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "You are scattering your father all over the floor, Midori. O_o"
Midori (OOC) beams happily. "But, I never had a father! Fun!". Frolics some more.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "True."
Yui (OOC) giggles.
Midori (OOC) collects mothers instead.
Hyuga (OOC) finds that to be more reason to hate himself somehow.
Yui (OOC) ceases making any sense whatsoever today.
Hyuga (OOC) fehs because no one stays with him....
Midori (OOC) would have...
Yui (OOC) says, "Oh, stop that! ....Hey, Midori.. How would you like to sit in daddy's Gear with me and stalk him down and drag him out of Solaris? ^^"
Midori (OOC) claps!
Hyuga (OOC) tries to get Midori to stay with him.
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Now we can BOTH go after him! How wonderful!"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "><"
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Do not MAKE ME take my daughter into Solaris!"
Midori (OOC) happily clings to anything that even resembles a father.
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Then she could track you down even easier!"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "And I'd have MORE reason to attack Solaris all BY MYSELF!"
Hyuga (OOC) is your father. Just not Citan.
Midori (OOC) buys a pot plant and draws Hyu's face on it.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "BAD MIDORI! NO DRUGS."
Hyuga (OOC) hmphs and intends to be Midori's father anyway and teach her things in dreams! BAH.
Yui (OOC) think its.. Very appropriate.
Midori (OOC) says, "Aww, no fair.."
Midori (OOC) refuses to water Hyu.
Yui (OOC) still runs around the dream to ANNOY you all.
Yui (OOC) also finds a good Shevvite babysitter and resumes plotting against Hyu.
Midori (OOC) sits in front of the babysitter reciting their darkest secrets to them.
Yui (OOC) patpats, "Good girl, Midori. Just stay out of trouble and I'll bake you cookies when I get back. ^^"
Midori (OOC) notes that Shevat only has so many babysitters. And, word gets around.
Yui (OOC) gets.. Erine to babysit!
Hyuga (OOC) hmphs and is a very good father!
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Everyone demands one reality or the other, bah....."
Yui (OOC) says, "Which is all the more reason for you to be a good father in the waking world as well. ^^"
Midori (OOC) clings to her pot-plant.
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "I can't be! Not without her possible exploitation and death!"
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "That's just more reason why you should be a better mother!"
Yui (OOC) is a wonderful mother!
Midori (OOC) buys another pot-plant, draws Yui's face on it, and moves to Elru.
Yui (OOC) just.. decides Fei is the cause of all this rot. Skips off to kill him.
Yui (OOC) also stops making cookies for Khiea, if you're going to be so mean.
Hyuga (OOC) sulk and takes the sword...
Midori (OOC) meets Khiea in the waking world, and poisons her cookies.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Killing Fei would solve everything. I could come home then."
Yui (OOC) finds it ironic how Khiea wants to murder Midori when I RP Yui. Fun! ^^
Midori (OOC) poisons Fei, too.
Yui (OOC) beams! And sets out to kill Fei. "Id nothing. >.> I can take him out all by myself!"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Khiea murders Midori... Yui murders Khiea......"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Yes. Killing Fei would...... solve everything."
Yui (OOC) says, "Let's, then! ^^"
Midori (OOC) says, "Then you two murder each other ina climactic end sequence. It's almost..Shakespearean."
Yui (OOC) thinks a swordfight with Hyu would be incredibly dramatic. But too tragic, too. So let's not think these thoughts. At least not yet. Not... Until I give up and storm Solaris head-on in his Gear. >.>
Midori (OOC) is slain. BLargh!
Hyuga (OOC) loses more hope in life.
Midori (OOC) uses Fenrir to hunt down Fei and stomp on him.
Midori (OOC) installs blocks of wood an the pedals.
Yui (OOC) says, "And then.. A Gear fell on Fei from the heavens! And that was the end of that."
Midori (OOC) says, "A short, shadowy figure was seen to emerge from the gear, stomp on his bloodied corpse a bit, and diappear into some trees."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "And then I came home."
Yui (OOC) likes this!
Midori (OOC) becomes determined to meet fei IC. > ...I want...to play..with...you... <.
Yui (OOC) ....fears.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "O_O"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "My daughter, the Anti-Guardian."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "All she's trying to do is get her father back home again."
Midori (OOC) finds some corn to emerge from.
Yui (OOC) fears more. X.X
Hyuga (OOC) finds this..... scary. And fitting, somehow.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Fei... removed you from Shevat to Lahan... removed Lahan... removed your father... again... and again.... and again..."
Yui (OOC) says, "Ah, we all want you to come home. Some of us just think that raiding Solaris would be easier than taking on Id."
Midori (OOC) decides that Hyu wil have to take care of her if Yui...were to somehow... Hmmm.
Midori (OOC) ponders.
Yui (OOC) STARES.
Yui (OOC) -STARES-.
Midori (OOC) says, "I'm ready to be rescued now, mother."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "O_O"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Um........."
Yui (OOC) says, "You're.. Not hoping for your mother's death, are you, Midori? O.o"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "I mean, I would take care of you and... you would be with me all the time....."
Midori (OOC) was joking, of course not ^^.
Yui (OOC) PHEWS.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Being trained in my field of work, likely, and.... Midori, are you..........good."
Midori (OOC) says, "Note to self, think out loud less."
Yui (OOC) looks.. scarred.
Yui (OOC) notes how berserk poor Yui would go were that the case. From soap opera.. To angst fest!
Hyuga (OOC) thinks that would be an interesting plot... twist.....
Midori (OOC) gets wheeled through Shevat ona trolley with a jacket and mask.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Welcome to eating Soylent, Midori."
Yui (OOC) thinks that it would result in Yui jumping off of Shevat. X.x
Midori (OOC) orders some fava beans and a nice Chianti from the surface.
Hyuga (OOC) keeps thinking of Midori in Solaris....
Yui (OOC) says, "Where she would meet the Solarian Princess and be blown up.."
Midori (OOC) thinks she might be a little more safe in Solaris, were she less remarkable.
Yui (OOC) says, "Well, if ever she was rescued."
Yui (OOC) snickers.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Yet you would be protected by my rank, so long as you ... were willing to study rather like I do...."
Hyuga (OOC) flies down to grab Midori before Yui does!
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "No! NO! My daughter, mine!"
Yui (OOC) darts to get her first!
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "We had a deal! Kind of!"
Midori (OOC) hms. Goes to find a coin IRL.
Hyuga (OOC) has her in her dreams. MUAHAHhahahaHAHAHHAHA.
Midori (OOC) asks, "Heads or tails, mother?"
Yui (OOC) gives up. Attacks Solaris.
Yui (OOC) says, "Um.. Heads."
Midori (OOC) decides.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Heads."
Yui (OOC) peers.
Midori (OOC) says, "It was tails. You both lose."
Hyuga (OOC) gives Midori to the ELRU?
Midori (OOC) exclaims, "Yay!"
Yui (OOC) says, "...Well, I suppose that works."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Oh, evil."
Midori (OOC) clings to anything resembling a parent. "On second thoughts..."
Yui (OOC) grabs Midori!
Hyuga (OOC) grabs Midori first!
Midori (OOC) is stretched.
Yui (OOC) says, "You know you want to come home to Shevat.. Mommy can actually cook! ^^"
Midori (OOC) exclaims, "Hmm. 'can cook', Vs. 'is the coolest guy in the world'. Don't make me choose!"
Yui (OOC) says, "Hey! >.<"
Yui (OOC) is cool too. Sniffle.
Midori (OOC) buys mommy a slipknot tshirt.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "........................"
Hyuga (OOC) will teach Midori all about Gears and other neat explosives!
Yui (OOC) says, "..."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "......."
Midori (OOC) takes it back, and rps it to shreds with Hyu's sword as practice.
Yui (OOC) thinks this would not do much to deter the fact that people seem to keep hitting on her.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "And meanwhile, I become the only cash flow provider in my apartment... again...."
Midori (OOC) becomes a Solarian superspy.
Hyuga (OOC) breaks something while people aren't looking. -_-
Yui (OOC) says, "Eeee... I'm sorry..."
Midori (OOC) says, "...or a Shevvite superspy. Whichever pays most."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Great, now Mike can not only be online at home all the time, but get more depressed over the job HE decided to quit."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Solaris pays more."
Midori (OOC) eeks, and patpats.
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "But you have an important Shevvite bloodline in Shevat! So you'd be specialler!"
Yui (OOC) says, "Since that is now a word."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Apparently he also gave his notice weeks ago and only told me now."
Yui (OOC) says, "Charming. >.< Why doesn't he just go out and get another job? How silly of him."
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "But you have a more important Solarian bloodline in Solaris!"
Yui (OOC) says, "He didn't tell you until now? What a thoughtful person."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "From.... 3rd class."
Midori (OOC) keeps a stick for people like that.
Yui (OOC) says, "Yes. Important Solarian hick bloodline..."
Hyuga (OOC) decides to have another breakdown while no one is watching, remembering how CHARMING Mike had been for company the last time he'd been unemployed.
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Shevat is prettier, too!"
Yui (OOC) gahs! "No, no need to have a breakdown.."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "He's thirty and has about no other job options... why....... ><"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Let's just hope it turns out all right.. Harrass him to get a new job!"
Midori (OOC) sees what both can offer in the way of an option portfolio. Also sees which has cooler equipment.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Solaris."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Definately Solaris."
Midori (OOC) blinks. Dear God, why?
Yui (OOC) says, "But Shevat has... um... Chuchus! ^^"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "And non-drunk music!"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "He has too much pride to work retail. >< So he refuses to. Or service. So he decides to quit his lovely nice job that doesn't make him do either."
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Solaris can have Chuchus!"
Midori (OOC) populates Solaris.
Midori (OOC) says, "Er, with Chu-chus."
Hyuga (OOC) asks, "All by yourself?"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Oh good."
Yui (OOC) was afraid for a moment...
Hyuga (OOC) says, "And we don't have to starve and have only vegetables....."
Midori (OOC) says, "Getcha mind outaa the gutter."
Yui (OOC) says, "...."
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Shevat is prettier!"
Midori (OOC) likes vegetables.
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Is not!"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "We have vegetables in Solaris. But also fruits and meats and breads."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Shevat only has.... pickled squash."
Yui (OOC) says, "No you don't! You just have soylent."
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "And I could always go on trips to the surface!"
Hyuga (OOC) asks, "With what GEAR?"
Hyuga (OOC) asks, "MY Gear?"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "YOURS!"
Midori (OOC) hmmms. So, what's Shevat's positon on people-eating, then?
Yui (OOC) says, "We don't eat people."
Hyuga (OOC) says, "Shevat is terribly impractical. It also uses the bodies anyway for fertilizer."
Yui (OOC) says, "We're.. More moral."
Midori (OOC) invents soylent beige, which is made entirely of hamsters.
Hyuga (OOC) says, "More self-righteous."
Hyuga (OOC) applauds his daughter!
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "We have better toys!"
Hyuga (OOC) says, "And a much, much better education system that actually makes learning fun...."
Midori (OOC) says, "Much more efficient then flushing."
Yui (OOC) laughs!
Midori (OOC) asks, "Whereas in Shevat thry beat knowledge into us with knotted ropes, right?"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Oh, phonics does not, for the last time, make learning fun!"
Midori (OOC) says, "Better then beatings."
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "Shevat doesn't beat knowledge into you!"
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Yes it does!"
Yui (OOC) exclaims, "No it doesn't!"
Midori (OOC) exclaims, "Behind you!"
Hyuga (OOC) exclaims, "Just look at your mother!"
Yui (OOC) asks, "WHAT?"
Hyuga (OOC) asks, "SEE?"
Yui (OOC) gives up. Hops in Fenrir, pulls a Vaughner, and storms Solaris.
Hyuga (OOC) tries to convince the troops to NOT shoot down the valuable Omnigear.
