Nortune, D-Block Pathway East
This is where the road through D-Block comes to an end- where the line between prisoner and citizen begins. Soldiers pace this area with little attentiveness; after all, all those in D-Block are required to wear a collar that serves as a bomb- the moment one steps out of range of D-Block, they're blown to tiny bits. But nonetheless, they stand at guard at the <north> exit, prepared to deter any escapees. To the <south> this well-worn, sooty path continues through D-Block.

Rico doesn't come out this way much, the lack of a distinct line marking where the collar radius is makes many of the prisoners wary of even entering this area, and his feet crunch down on uncompressed dirt in patches, glancing about at the gradual transition in the facade of the street, from grimy prison to, well, equally grimy non-prison, as he progresses toward the well-worn spot where the solitary guard usually plods his way through his shift. Still, hopefully after today he won't have to worry about imaginary lines, or where they are. He draws up to the guard post, and stands there, not wishing to go any further, and being sufficiently conspicuous that he will not be missed.
Added onto the normal guards and here for the Royal Advisor's two more of those wierd people in dark, dark reds. So deep the color could be blood gone rotten. Or maybe that's just because they haven't washed it off. But with them and leaning against the station's the head of them, Yasha in her matching uniform. They're not ones to draw attention but it can't be helped. Yasha eyes Rico in silence. Then she grins to herself, shrugs, and lets Liete do what's needed.
Liete feels so much more comfortable with Yasha escorting her. She takes in a deep breath and then takes out a piece of paper, before calling to him, "H-hello, Mr.Banderas. You're here much earlier than I e-expected...," she peers down at the numbers on the paper...understanding why such an extensive code would be given for this particular prisoner's collar...but it's just so mind-boggling. The average prisoner was only 9 numbers...this was 30. She returns her gaze to Rico, awaiting his response.
Rico looks up from his study of the ground, nodding half-politely at Liete, and looking over the soldiers she has brought. For someone coming to deactivate this thing, they sure are bringing out the big guns. Still, it's probably so none of the desperate few who would try anything wouldn't get far, even if they tried. As Liete speaks, he breaks into a wry smile. "Can you blame me?", he asks, looking again at Yasha. "Something funny?" he asks, innocently. Although lesser words have started bar fights. He then looks back towards Liete, and the paper she holds.
The prisoner's twice, no probably even three times bigger than the larger of the two Phoenix Guards. Dmitri grumps on the other side of Yasha with his arms crossed, just doing that prickly thing he does so well and looking at Rico now and then. Alexander's smarter than that, he stands next to Liete and his gaze is steady and not hostile. Yasha herself? She grins at the demihuman and actually looks more comfortable now that he's said something like that. "I am thinking of how many sorry excuses for soldiers will find themselves sweating under a good trainer at last. I think you will be *excellent*, Banderas." she grins, and then looks less interested in an appraisal but more in what Liete's current actions are.
Liete turns her head slightly at Yasha's comment, it's good to know there's optimism about this. "A-alright. I suppose it is time," she closes her eyes, "M-mr.Banderas, t-try not to m-move. You might set s-something off by a-accident," a couple of the soldiers go to stand next to Rico. "Are you r-ready?" she asks.
The grin does not disappear, and Rico only finds time to reply, "We'll see.", before his attention is demanded once again. He draws back part of his mane to reveal a small covered keypad, firmly locked shut. "Ready as I'll ever be, boss." he grunts, and tries to keep still as the soldiers surround him.
Good enough really. But hey, any guess to if the two statements from Yasha actually had anything to do with each other or for this at all. She's here to keep Liete from being nervous.. okay, as much as she might be otherwise. Yasha snaps a look at Alexander who nods and looks down to Liete to reassure her and steps closer. Any problems? None expected yet.
Liete is a bit calmer, but not by much. "A-alright. Open the collar," the soldiers do so, opening a small cavity where a number pad resides. Liete then takes in a deep breath, and starts calling out numbers, which one soldier consequently inputs as they're called. After it's finished, the collar loosens and the soldier takes it off. Liete sighs in relief, "I-it'll be a b-bit before we're f-finished with the r-reprogramming of the collar. So...i'm going to a-assign someone to watch you in the m-meantime."

Rico rubs his neck. One can't help but feel...light-headed, after so long with that burden. "Sure, whatever." he looks around at the posse formed around him at this stage. He could probably take them all. Still, he probably wouldn't make it to the city limits. Still, best do it their way, for now. At least he may eventually be able to leave, and not be on the run, at least. He draws himself up to his full height, and scowls down at the troops around him, more for reaction than anything else. There's a load off my mind, he thinks, but does not say. Even he knows a really bad joke when he hears one. He smiles at Liete. "Thanks. That was starting to chafe." he deadpans.
Optimism's par for the course, right? Massive demihuman champion of battlers for how many times counting and now he's got no reason to keep from breaking? Right? Maybe. Yasha finds a toothpick from her front pocket and starts to chew on the end. Liete might be tense but she's the complete opposite. "Are you ready with that Advisor?" she says patiently, twiddling the chip of wood between her fingers. At Rico's glaring, Dmitri actually almost bares his teeth back in restless hyper-defensiveness but Alexander does his job and is focused on Liete instead. Anyone's guess if the regular guards quail, but it's more than likely they're counting their own steps back to boltholes right now from fear.
Liete looks at Yasha, "Yes, y-yes," she clears her throat, "Alright...um, for now, i'll...h-have Alexander watch you," she turns to Alexander briefly. "I-i have faith that y-you can do a g-good job," she says to him. She turns back to Rico, her face reddening again, a bit, as she has to look him in the face now, "Um...well, i-i'll be about to s-see how y-you are doing occasionally...a-and possibly Yasha if s-she's up to it," her head turns to Yasha.
"I will if there is a chance, Advisor. I may be called away." Speaking of which, the comm buzzes at her belt and it'll be back to work making war. Yasha slaps it silent, doesn't answer it yet and bows to Liete and to Rico too for some reason. "Alexander, obey." The Guard nods with as much talking as he usually does and falls into step. He won't cause any problems. Then Dmitri and Yasha are off.
Yasha has disconnected.
Rico looks down at the guard, barely half his size, and grins. "Okay, Alexander. Stay outa my way and we'll get along fine.". And that is them settled. A quick nod to Yasha as she is called away, and Liete has his attentoin once more. "Okay. Well, if that was all, I guess I'll be seein' ya, boss.". And he waits, in case it is not, Alexander already falling into tow.
Liete closes her eyes, "Er...there's s-still one m-more thing. W-we're going to be s-setting a r-room up for you. Unless y-you'd like to k-keep your own...," she waits for his response, before telling him anything more.
Rico thinks. "Well, I dunno. My room here would take some beating. Although it might be more convenient. Where is it?".
Liete nods, "It w-will be in A-Block," she says. "...it is b-being set up as we speak...but I can c-cancel if that if what you wish."
Rico shakes his head. "No, it'll do fine. Whatever you think is best, boss.".
Liete has disconnected.
