Yasha (OOC) asks, "So whatcha have in mind?"
Rico (OOC) says, "Well, I suppose pretty much what you said. Rico has to report in, and Alexander may want to, erm, escape. ^^."
Yasha (OOC) hehs and wonders what kinda things you did to him
Yasha (OOC) asks, "Kay. Wanna start or me?"
Rico (OOC) says, "I will, I think."
Yasha (OOC) nods.
Thinks. One setting's pretty much like another. The floor's a little less encrusted, the clientele are a little less worried-looking, and the brawls are a little less frequent. Whcih is probably a good thing, Rico thinks. They can get a little tiresome, when a new prosoner comes along, and vaguely tries to prove himself. Still, there are always things to amuse a large demihuman. Right now, scaring the living daylights out of the man across the table from him was sufficing quite nicely. I really thought the guy had guts first time I saw him. Still, I gotta teach them to leave _one_ guard on me. I'm hurt, here. Rico sits motionless, one hand held aloft at his ear, which might be just stretching, and might be about to crush down on the man across the table at a moment's notice. He stares across at Alexander, unmoving, as the guard stays perfectly still, unable to move.
A-Block's a step up from good old D but the same reaction's for the two people walking through it. Actually not quite. D Block knew the guard at Yasha's side.. here, they see the uniforms before the faces. Yasha, Van and Rimov trot along in off-duty clothes which are just the rotted-scarlet of the Guard covered over by pullover sweats. Pretty casual. Can't cover up the starburst marks on the two guards' foreheads though. Alexander? He's better than a person thinks--he wouldn't have racked up all those block-wide multilations otherwise--but he doesn't like it here. No other Firebirds. A person likes pack members. His eyes brighten as he sees Yasha and the other Guards clamber into the bar but he doesn't say anything.
Yasha (OOC) fixes the 'two people' to three.
Rico watches Alexander's gaze shift to something else, and he grins, almost miscievously, as he spots Yasha and simultaneously scratches his ear nonchalantly. His arm is then replaced on the handle of his glass, as he takes a generous swig. "Heh. Looks like the cavalry's here, boy.", he mutters as Yasha steps into the bar.
Rico (OOC) nods.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Heh, Alexander's not that skittsh"
Rico (OOC) has been trying his best, though X_x. Okay, understood.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Eh no problem. He can just be nervous for some reason or the other."
Yasha (OOC) says, "They're all psychos in the squad :P"
Rico (OOC) says, "Ah. I might have guessed ^^."
Yasha (OOC) says, "Why they probably know you.. they're all former D block, worst stripes."
Yasha (OOC) says, "But that's up to ya how they interact that way :)"
Rico (OOC) nods.

"Good morning to you both!" Yasha nods to the bartender who sort of doesn't know if he's supposed to get a drink or just to pretend nothing's in the direction of the table with the ex-Battling Champ. Alexander's instantly reassured. Keeping an eye over someone everyone in D automatically revers isn't his cup of tea. Shouldn't kill him, so how else is he supposed to react? Talk? Whatever. He stands up and pulls out chairs for the others. Van and Rimov are kind of staring at Rico in the same sort of awe that comes from seeing the Champ up close at last. They're young, what can you say? Doesn't change their track records either but hey, they can still give each other high-fives later. Yasha ignores all that, sits down and grins at Rico. "How are you doing today Mister Banderas? I hear you are doing excellent work. Is it pleasing for you?"
Rico sits back, relaxed as you please. "Beats prison...", is his initial retort, before he scratches at his forehead toughtfully, trying to sum up these past few weeks in just a few sentences. "...I'm okay. The rank and file infantry could use some work, but we're working on that.", he smiles gently to himself. nothing a couple more weeks of drills wouldn't fix. "Excellent work, eh? Thought it was alright, myself. Most of the wasters have either gotten down to it or left.". And leave they had, some walking, some not. But, being a soldier was never a walk in the park. Or at least, shouldn't be.
Van and Rimov are sort of jostling each other after sitting down, the shoulder nudge and stupid grins that mean they're happier than Alexander to be here. Yeah, young still. Van couldn't be older than sixteen. Makes a person wonder.. eh, or decide not to. Yasha keeps looking at Rico and kicks them under the table. Alexander brushes back his hair and starts to look better already. He's no good for talking. Ever. "You have done a very admirable job with what you have been given." She shrugs a shoulder. Most of the Kislevi infantry are too worn out to fight or too cyncial. Rico'd put the order they need back into it. "Have you begun field maneuvers yet? I do not remember if we have started Gear practice. Your Gear is in good condition for you, yes?"
Rico nods slowly. "Nope. Just drills for now...". Even if there were but one guard actively assigned to watch him, leaving Nortune would probably prove to be less then healthy, if it were construed as anything but innocent field manoevers. Still, since they mentioned it... "I presume the battling committee still have my gear. As for leaving Nortune, well, you'll understand how I wasn't gonna do that, with my situation an' all...". Gear training, eh? This should be even more fun. A chance to do some real damage.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Ack, gotta run in maybe half hour? Gonna take Luc to stuff food in her, get her to cheer up."
Rico (OOC) nods. No problem.
"We should give you that back." Yasha says that so nonchalantly! Well why not? The war is going to need more Gears if they go out on the desert. The General leans back in her chair, props up the side of her leg against the side. Maybe Rico's just waiting to sabatoge them? Maybe he's just doing his job? She doesn't look worried either way. Arrogance like that. Or something. "I would very much like to have you in active combat, Mister Banderas," she laughs suddenly, rubbing her boot with a hand. "But I do not know if you would like that or a more sedate lifestyle back here training troops. Yes?"
Yasha (OOC) really really wants to keep Rico instead of letting him go be Ygg-scum :)
Yasha (OOC) says, "But eh, up to you :)"
Nonchalant, indeed. It seemed Yasha now had some sort of confidence in him. Or was looking for a cheap hired soldier. Or perhaps a bit of both. Well, as regards active combat, Rico neither knows nor cares, so long as.... "Well, that's a different thing from training soldiers, which is what I agreed to.", he muses, shooting a withering glance at the fidgeting pair across from him. "But, it interests ma, with some provisions. There are some people I like fighting, and some I, well, to put it bluntly, won't.". The few months he had spent with the pirates, with Fei and the Boss, had meant something. If only that they might be spared. After all, there were kids in that base... "I think...you might know what I mean. I know it won't happen officially, but I think your promise is enough.".
Rico (OOC) might stick around for a while, y'know. ^^.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Hope so. Never get a chance to RP with you otherwise :)"
Rico (OOC) nodnods. ^^.
Alexander finally gives up with his patience and growls low in his throat. Not at Rico, at the two psycho brats across the table. Yasha doesn't bat an eye and kicks them again with her free leg. That's more than enough to get them to straighten back to attention.. almost creepy how they snap into being so serious when they should be out playing ball. "We all have these standards, I think. This is understandable. I cannot promise that they will remain out of the war since I think they will attack or be dragged into it, but you can be excused from fighting them if you do not want." Yes, her promise is as good as her law. She can't give it lightly especially when she knows that killing noncoms is entirely likely. Yasha shrugs again and doesn't pay attention to the little whimpers of apology from Van and Rimov. They get to deal with Rico next and they'd better remember to be professional about it. No autographs. She's get faith in their ability to still kill though, she knows them well enough. "It is only
--It is only a thought for now, Mister Banderas. If you wanted to get out more. The field Gear training will be good either way."
Yasha (OOC) slaps a bumper sticker on Steir that says 'Have you nuked a village in Asher's name today?'
Rico (OOC) grins, and starts painting women and children symbols on the side.
Yasha (OOC) gets Mischa to meet Rico sometime.
Rico (OOC) blinks?
Yasha has disconnected.
Yasha has connected.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Yech"
Rico nods. "Well, I'll think about it. For now, I'll just get the Stier back, and start some of the more um..." ...how shall I put it?... "...dumb recruits on some basic stuff. After that, We'll see.". He looks over to the pair across from him, by now openly being berated, and grins, baring his teeth. "Boo".
Yasha (OOC) says, "Mischa's the only kid to survive the village that had to get wasted because Asher escaped btw :)"
Rico (OOC) hadn't even heard of the wasted village. Mergh.
Yasha (OOC) says, "It's in the logs somewhere. I told Asher if he escaped, I'd have to nuke a village. So he escaped."
Rico (OOC) says, "The naughty man."
Van and Rimov don't spook.. they look really delighted actually. Just like puppies. Doberman puppies. But they take a look at Alexander still glowering at them over the table and keep themselves from trying to ask lots of perky lil' questions. Yasha sees this and just laughs to herself, shaking her head. They could get excused. They'd done a good job going through the desert in the enemy lands all on their own. "I look forward to your work, yes?" She stands up and stretches, arms up in the air and enjoying the chance to relax. "There is much to be improved upon. We have a little time but not as much as I think we would like." She pushes her chair in with a foot. Alexander stands up too, muttering an awkward goodbye to Rico. Good when he fights, not good in social occasions. "I think Van and Rimov will be better company for you? What do you think about having their help for a little while. I know they look foolish," the two Guards duck their heads, "but they are very effective."
Yasha (OOC) says, "Hence the bumper sticker :P"
Rico (OOC) nods, and gets it now.
Rico nods. "Doesn't bother me, either way.". Aha. two guards. A small improvement, but he could still take 'em. Uh, probably. He nods quietly to the two who don't look like they're leaving, and to Yasha and alexander, a cursory wave. "Well, be seein' ya lter then, boss.". And his attention is then elsewhere, the four dismissed like so much paperwork, as he lapses into thought. What to do? Certainly not idle chat with these two, anyway. For now.
Van and Rimov don't mind not being talked to. They're getting used to the idea and are already starting to settle in, rolling their shoulders and feeling the pull of weapons concealed near them and doing other figity motions that are easy to blame on teenagers with too much energy. Just habit, that's all. They'll do their wavering between being ultra-serious murderers and more like the kids of their age later. Yasha doesn't care either, she gives Alexander a rumble from the throat to reassure him and he falls into place behind her. "Enjoy your time." Not much else needs to be said. Then they're gone.
Yasha (OOC) says, "Cool. Thanks for the scene. :)"
Yasha (OOC) says, "I think Rimov's 18ish if you're bored. They'll hang around but they know their job and won't be a bother if it looks important"
Rico (OOC) nods. Thanks for the scene, you too :)
Yasha (OOC) says, "Yeah hope I wasnt too much a bother with what the guards're like. Cya later man :)"
Yasha has disconnected.
