It was a late burst of bravery,hard work by a tired band of men, which saved this game from being a total utter rout.
The half time whistle found our lads trailing by 18 pionts but the never die attitude of every player on the DCU team ensured that the belfeild boys would not get it all their own way. Sloppy mistakes and a general lake of concentration in the first half meant that simple mistakes were made and that on a number of occasions the excellent Rory Geoghegan was left with little chance in the DCU goal. The change of Brian Williams to midfeild, Kevin Shortall, to centre back and Robbie Brennan to center forward had their dividends.
