So far this year we have played in the
Leinster Freshers Blitz, where our girls did the college and club proud.
Having never played together before the girls won 2 out of 4 games and
narrowly missed a place in the semi-finals of the competion.
At 2.00pm on November 14th in St. Clare's DCU took on its sister
college, UL, in the annual 35s competition. Over the last 3 years of
participation, UL have never beaten the DCU 35's side! Unfortunatly
this was magnificent run was ended this year Despite the girls
putting up a great comeback we lost by a point. (ed's note: The ref has
alot to answer for)

The Harney cup this year will be hosted by Trinity and is on Friday
25th/ Saturday 26th January. Details are still to be confirmed.
The Interprovincials will be hosted by DCU on Sunday, 17th February.
Details are still to be confirmed. Last year DCU provided three girls,
Ciara McGuinness, Rachel Barrett and Mary Nevin, for the Leinster team
that won. With Mary being further selected for the Irish team that took
on the British Colleges. This year we hope to better that.
The semi-finals and finals of the championship will be hosted by UCD and
are arranged for Saturday 23rd/Sunday 24th March.
