- early adopters like it because it allowed them to something new popularised later as “what if” analysis.
- 3 Early majority
- practical - fell into line with very common business operations budgeting sale forecasting.
- 4 Late majority
- Fell into line as pencil and pens were less and less easy to use. This was the tool people used if you wanted to share a spreadsheet it had to be lotus format.
- So that today over 50% of PCs with spreadsheet have
lotus 1-2-3 despite the fact that there are many superior competitors.
