2003 Committee

Chairperson Marion Winters, SALIS / CTTS
A very organised person, who keeps us all working in the right direction and always has a sympathetic ear.
Also a DCU Student Union Post-Graduate representative.

General Member: Eve Merton, Communications
Her quiet relaxed manner hides a great efficiency in making sure we don't stray from the point, and gets the meetings finished
as soon as possible.
Also a DCU Student Union Post-Graduate representative.

Public Relations Officer: Karl Podesta, Computing
A very busy man, who is dedicated to many causes. His experience in dealing with officials in DCU is invaluable, as well as his patience and gentle advice

Treasurer: Dalen Kambur, Computing
He is always watching out for ways to make a profit and keep our suffering bank account out of the red as well as making lots of valuable arguments in the meetings

Secretary: Orla Duffner, Electronic Engineering
Focussed on the social aspect of the society, she has lots of fun organising games and shouting at people

General Member: John Kearns, SALIS / CTTS
Unfortunately busy abroad until now, he has lots of ideas for future development so we look forward to his return.
Also a DCU Student Union Post-Graduate representative.

Webmaster : Ciarán Ó Conaire, Electronic Engineering
Well, since I'm the webmaster, am I really expected to write about myself? Fine, ok....Ciarán is a devilishly
handsome rogue but he makes up for his good looks with his fierce wit and charm.

General Member : Paul Clune,
Electronic Engineering
After many years working in various commercial organisations, some
of which were run into the ground by the people who were supposed to be in
charge and where he encountered Satan in a variety of human forms (although he
swears he's not bitter and twisted!), Paul decided to skip the current
economic downturn and pursue some personal goals - and along the way pick up an
MEng and to have some fun and meet new people - and where better to do that
then in a large University like DCU!
Paul Clune is on the EE Meng full-time taught masters programme.

General Member : Paul Carroll,
Law and Government
Paul is doing a Law & Government masters part-time and despite the
heavy workload of his course, is eager to encourage and involve more
part-time postgrads to get involved in the society.

Past Committee Members

General Member: James Walsh,
Law and Government
A cheerful member, he is very enthusiastic despite the demands of his taught masters course. He also acts as the DCU Postgraduate representative on the quaterly DCU management meetings
