Welcome to week 5! Is it just me or do the weeks keep flying by? It’s nearly reading week already and it feels like I have just started back!
Web scraping, pancakes and committee lightning talks are on the agenda for this week.
If you want to hear what topics our committee are passionate about, or what they are forced to deal with, come on down to L114 on Wednesday the 14th of February from 1-2pm to hear them all!
For our Hackerclub this week, we will be exploring the word of web scraping. Would you like to have all the data from websites at your fingertips? Well make your way to L125 on Wednesday the 14th of February from 2-4pm to find out how. Pizza will be provided!
Fancy having some pancakes? Make your way common room on Tuesday the 13th of February from 1-2pm where we will be hosting a Pancake Tuesday event in collaboration with EngSoc.
In case you missed the email during the week, we are hosting the Dublin Computer Science Ball along with UCD and TUD. Tickets are now live for €50-55 and can be purchased here. The ball will take place from 7pm in the Westbury Hotel, 16th February. We hope to see you all there!
Just like our Committee Lightning Talks this week, you have the opportunity to host your own lightning talk. If you have a topic you are passionate about and want to share it with our members, fill in this form here. Signups for the talks will close on Friday the 16th of February.
