These are logs from when Brin was in Dazil lots, bored and unhappy with his assignment. Eventually, he comes to accept his position, and makes new friends.
The Wanderer [7/12/2000] (IC) (OOC) - But who? Brin wanders into Dazil, and meets Ildon, another wanderer, for the first time.
News from Outside [7/12/2000] (IC) (OOC) - Dakota returns to the base momentarily, and brings general news from outside, about Jasper, and makes an offer Brin..feels he has to refuse. Which serves to make Brin all that more cooped up in the base.
Confusion? [7/12/2000] (IC) (OOC) - On his way out of Dazil, Brin meets Joseph, the local Gebler ruffian, who seems to know Dakota quite well, for a Gebler Colonel and a Sand pirate. Joseph acts...suspiciously friendly toward Brin.
Secrets Betrayed [8/12/2000] (IC) (OOC) - Brin meets Joseph for a drink, and Joseph begins to say strange things. Then two of the elements and Kale show up, leaving Brin trying hard not to look like he's listening intently.
The End Of...? (FIC) - Brin realises his obligation to those he serves.
The First of All Too Few [11/12/2000] (IC) (OOC) - While talking with Ildon in the square in Dazil, Brin spots someone innocent in distress. Being the silly fool he is, he gets involved in protecting her, along with Xeero and Ildon.
Children, thou shalt not fear. (FIC) - Brin finally abandons his peacetime weapon, and takes to the gun.
The Dragon Man and the Etone [13/11/2000] (IC) (OOC) - Brin, while practicing shooting in the desert, meets Kale, who, being officially gebler, acts very ungeblerlike. Something about handing Brin a laser rifle seems...worrying.
Unwelcome Power [13/11/2000] (IC) (OOC) - Brin discusses Ildon's Ether power with him, over a drink in the Lucky Avenue.
A New Prayer. (FIC) - Brin visits the 'Ethos' HQ, banishes an old ghost of his, and learns about the reason for his assignment.
The Guardian [2/1/2001] (IC) (OOC) - Back at the pirate base, Brin meets Citan for the first time. Ever conscious, Citan still manages to wangel information out of Brin.
The Demon of Dazil [1-2/1/2001] (IC) (OOC) - Sorry, but Brin just...dislikes Joseph now. After a scuffle in the bar, Joseph shows just how heartless he can be. A confrontation reveals that Joseph knows who Brin is. Brin leaves, taking a casualty of the scuffle with him.
Discovered! (FIC) - Brin's attempt to save he Dazil Barkeep's life ends as soon as it begins.
