Willie Coyne
Willie "Jump-start" Coyne

Achievements:

Willie has been involved with DCU KartSoc for the last number of years. This is the first year in the last 4 consecutive years that he is not a member of committee. As the 2007/08 DCU Karting Champion, he is also one of the strongest drivers still in the college and is always considered a championship contender. A keen sportsman off the track, his constant ideas and effort have kept KartSoc up there as one of the best societies in the college for the past number of years and thoroughly deserves his place on this page, even if his nickname is duly earned!

Mark Egan
Mark Egan

Achievements:

Rose to the heights of Hall of Fame status after emerging from under the wing of the man you see below. First appeared as a nerdy little first year and volunteered for the position of First Year Rep. Got heavily involved with committee as a rep and regular trips, along with working at Kart City, saw his driving improve drastically. Has spent the last 2 seasons as both Treasurer of KartSoc and a Championship contender, culminating in winning the DCU Karting Championship last season. Excellent with his hands, whether it be a steering wheel, a paintball marker or...eh...ahem! The most recent addition to the Hall of Fame, this year, he is looking to be only the second person ever to reclaim the DCU Karting Championship!

Tom Kearns
Major Tom Kearns

Achievements:

A hugely influential member, played a big part in KartSoc being as successful as it is. As a young undergrad accountant he was also Treasurer and took KartSoc financially where it needed to be. Became Chairman in later years while at the same time guiding and tutoring future Treasurers and Chairs. While he never produced such success on the track, he was on many occassions a Championship contender until the very last day of the season, until he was "robbed by Willie and Petey". Great fun to be around off the track, he proved he hasn't lost any of his skill with a brilliant drive at the 24 Hour Endurance Race in Teesside last August. May make some cameo appearances on the track this year to teach the young guns a lesson, and will always be welcome.

Peter Bermingham
Peter Bermingham

Achievements:

What is there to say about this...man? Bred from a family with huge interest in Motorsport, it was inevitable that Petey would get involved with KartSoc. Borderline one of the least effective Chairs the society has ever had :P but he made his mark on the track and in the bar. Was the 2006/07 DCU Karting Champion and contended for the title for as long as he remained in DCU, he was always a quality Intervarsity driver. The only limit to the fun you could have with him was whatever the law or your imagintion would allow...and even then!

Annette Carty-Mole
Annette Carty-Mole

Achievements:

One of the founding members of KartSoc and easily the prettiest of the Hall of Famers (except for Petey on Tuesdays in that little red number), not much is known of Annette to the current committee. Has left a strong reputation as an excellent karter and someone who is great fun to be around, she ticks all the boxes to be on this page. Like a top of the range supercar, has been seen once or twice at certain functions, leaving people asking "Is that your one who's in the Hall of Fame?", "Yeah, Annette, that's her!", "Wow!...And she's good at Karting too?"
